"A nice cozy hotel situated in the Five Miles shopping village, where you can find a supermarket, shops and restaurants nearby. Away from the busyness of Queenstown, it is in close proximity to the airport and a ski field. The surrounding area is safe. The room is quiet and clean. Staffs are helpful. "We had a clean, comfortable and spacious apartment overlooking the lake. Pros: 1) The lake view is amazing. 2)The beds and couches were very comfortable. 3)The kitchen was well equipped. 4)Parking was always available when we needed it. 5) The washer/dryer combo unit was handy but allow extra time for air drying of clothes after use on the provided drying rack. Cons: 1) We were given an accessible room but we did not require those capabilities. The shower does not drain well and the entire floor gets wet - thankfully a long pole squeegee is provided to clean the floor but it’s still quite a mess. 2) it is about a 15 min walk to town and the last bit on return is quite steep. We took taxis back from town a couple of times in the rain which are rather expensive (NZ $35-40 for ~ 1 mile). FYI - Layout: The apartment (201a/b) was setup more like an efficiency attached to a separate hotel room. The 1st room was off of a vestibule attached to the larger unit’s main hallway with an uncovered side window that was open to the exterior so privacy was a concern. The 2nd bedroom has a folding wall that can be used but with the furniture layout in the adjacent living room, closing the wall would trap you in the bedroom - perhaps easily fixed with some furniture rearrangement which we did not attempt. Thanks for a lovely visit - would definitely stay again!"
