The lobby was well appointed. The room was clean and bed was comfortable but the mdf furniture was dated and the tile floor needs steam cleaned and the bathroom needs updated, at least the curtain rod. The staff were extremely nice.

The hotel is extremely dated. Everything from the elevators to the hallway windows feels like it’s stuck in the last century. Since Queenstown is quite humid, there’s visible mold throughout the building. The worst part was the shower—the hot water was just a weak trickle. The only saving grace was the staff, who were very friendly. Only stay here if you don’t mind aging facilities.

The only reason I didn’t give it “excellent” is that the shower was terribly weak, a dribble, as if in a drought-stricken country with flow regulators. Which is not the case in New Zealand! Otherwise, lovely stay
