"We love Akumal Bay and have been here 5 times. We will keep coming back with family. Rooms-very nice. Sadly we never got 1 chocolate in our refrigerator the entire 8 days. I even asked at the front desk. We have stayed in building 1 and 2 in the past. They are great for getting to the snorkeling beach and pools fast. This time we stayed in building 4 which has been renovated. Nice to have an actual door on the bathroom for privacy. Very quiet too. If you like busy go down to building 1 or 2. Beach-we come for the beach and snorkel everyday. We got lucky and no Sargassum. Beautiful water and great snorkeling. My only sadness about the snorkeling is the kayaking park ranger that made us move back to inside the buoys where there is hardly any coral left sadly. That is disappointing to us since we come to snorkel daily. Restaurants-Kooban is the bomb. Beef for main and Surprise for dessert. Buffet is always good. We love Adrianna. We tried Yal-ku lagoon but were very disappointed. Visibility was none. Donā€™t recommend. Spa-we use Buddha Gardens just down the beach by the dive center. Best massage. They have a problem with towels. We only got clean towels 2 of the 8 days there. There was no one to give out towels at the booth. We even asked several times. We still will go back. We love it."
