"Peace and Relax on a beautiful beach "
This hotel is excellent if you need some days of total relax. Nice colonial ambience with very few activities and animations you won't even notice unless you search for it. Adults only and the fact that in our period of stay the average age was over 50, made it even more quite and relaxing. Tennis courts were always available and they supply also some rackets but bring your own balls because the selection available is quite outdated. The choice among 5 restaurants for dinner is not huge but more than enough for us (better to book 1 day in advance at your personal concierge). We liked the Italian and the chef table at the Japanese (say hello to Roberto from us who is super nice). Only one down note: apparently April the sea is not perfect. Rough sea and lots of algae. If you want to take a catamaran is supposed to be free but Carlos from the dive center approached us saying it is not safe to go alone and if we would like someone with us the cost was 40$ each person for one hour. When he saw our disappointment suddenly became 50$ for 2. Anyway in other resorts it was free even with someone of the staff. The tip was mandatory, but we were never asked such an high rate for 1 hour catamaran. Instead The staff at the resort is very polite and ready to please and help you in any possible way. The hotel is in a very nice and safe being enclosed in a gated community. If you want to go for a run, the complete round circle is almost 6km. To go to la Quinta Avenida di playa del Carm

"Very nice smaller all inclusive "
Great all inclusive adults only. Smaller and intimate but well done and a great staff. Do not do the Maroma property tour! It's a timeshare pitch and the typical Super pushy high pressure approach. We went just to see the property as we've considered staying there (won't - - really unimpressed even though it's a lot more than many other better hotels). The staff at Capri was excellent, food was good and typical of this kind of resort. Shows were better than normal. Beach was not good, but typical of this area. It's an older property but still has a lot to offer.

    "Nice resort on the beach"
My family and I had a great time at Sandos Caracol. There was alot to do, the pool was fun and staff was very friendly. The monkeys roam free which was awesome. The only thing I could suggest is they clean the rooms a little better. But, overall we all loved the resort!

    "Villa del Palmar - Flamingo"
The resort is clean, kept up to date, has a great staff, and adds something new every night, e.g. a show, dinner on the beach, etc. We went with the all inclusive option which was good. In short, if you stay for only a few days, then this may be the option for you but if you stay longer than say 3 days, you may not want to take the all-inclusive option. Your food options are limited to only 2 spots with basically the same menu.

    "Huge resort on the beach"
This resort is right on the beach with big ocean view rooms w/out balconies. Bottom floors 1-4 are Terrace rooms with luscious green palm trees garden/pool views. Only one building and the club rooms have balconies. Two very beautiful huge pools w/different feet levels and swim-up bars. Many pool and beach lounger chairs under shade and sun, but kind of far from the ocean. The hotel's beach sand is very rocky and uncomfortable to walk on, the water is a bit cold right now (April) with strong waves, not for kids. The beach is not private, constant pressure to buy stuff from locals. Buffet open everyday for breakfast, lunch & dinner and the food is average. Mexican restaurant is for adult only and reservation required. Two other restaurants operate every other day, and we found out at the end that if you have all-inclusive, you can go to the buffet as well. They don't tell you much, have to ask for everything. It's a 5min drive to Malecon downtown and shopping. We stayed 12days and rented a car, PVR is a beautiful city right now, flowers everywhere. Mexican insurance required and very expensive, they drive very fast and downtown has brick roads w/out any lane markings. Taxi from hotel to airport only 120pesos/$7, but to hotel is another story.
