"The villa is run down - as we expected from previous reviews, but I think it's reasonably priced considering when it's a large group. I'm not sure the pool area is safe, or how clean the kitchen is but we had a nice time. Leo was really lovely and it gets the stars because of him. It's a shame the owners don't invest in fixing things up and investing in it because it has a lot of potential. "

Claudia the concierge took extremely good care of us, booking rides to all of our excursions and to and from the airport, setting up a private chefs who shopped, cooked and cleaned for us, and over all being ready to help with whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this place to any large groups looking for a relaxing vacation and to have things taken care of for them. "

"We loved our stay. Roger and Fabiola (and Scott) were lovely to work with. The house is fabulous - the pool is lovely and the ability to walk to the lagoon to snorkel everyday was our favorite! There are restaurants about 10 min up the road but everything else is a bit of drive. We really enjoyed La buena vida in Akumal - good food great beach view! We had a wonderful time! "

"WONDERFUL PLACE!! Casa de colores was ideal for our group of eleven. Loved the house with bathrooms in each bedroom. The pool was perfect. The caretakers came daily to take care of the house and were amazing. The town of Akumal is super cute with great restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend the Chef Service and renting golf carts. We will be back. "

"The property is beautiful and clean. We had a wonderful time. The keep the grounds as beautiful as the interior, and we felt safe and secure even with young kids. The crib and high char were very helpful!For others' awareness with kids, there is no washer/dryer or dishwasher, so expect to need to hand wash bottles etc. The staff did some laundry for us at a good price, so that solved the laundry needs."
