The resort was just as expected and the staff were incredible! The kids loved the water parks and it was easy to walk to the other ones at the other hotels within the Barceló resort! Most of the restaurants were easy to book reservations with and were a nice change from going to the buffet for every meal. That being said the buffet offered lots of different options and was very good! I would definitely recommend Barcelo and would stay there with my family again :)

This was a beautiful hotel and resort!! We have nothing negative to say about our vacation!! Will definitely return and bring our family!! Special shout out to Maria who is an activity director at the pool!! She is phenomenal and makes all guests feel at home! She works extremely hard and always with a friendly greeting and smile on her face!!!

Barcelo Maya is a wonderful place to stay. Very beautiful, clean, well maintained and staff is very polite. I really enjoyed my stay. The pools were amazing, beach was clean and the bar services were awesome. The buffet was very good. Being a vegetarian, they had good options and their chef customized pizza as per our request. Loved the place with so much to do. Will definitely stay there next time too.

Resort was great! One of the best I have been to and would highly recommend. Only downside was that people would wake up in the middle of the night and put towels on the chairs so that they were already all reserved before 6am.
