"We had a great time at the house it has access to the lake with a lake deck for enjoying a picnic then dive into the crystal clear water below. The house was clean and had just about everything you would need, I do wish it would have a blender to make drinks but that's a minor thing the weather was fantastic warm in the day and cool in the evening. Be sure to arrange snorkeling trip with Francis and wish we had known that we could arrange fishing with him before booking through a local company. "We went for spring break and daughters 16th birthday trip. April 2024. We had never been to Belize but wanted a house and not in town. Well this is definitely not in town. 12 miles north along the coast, and secluded.(3 houses close by). House a little rustic but has AC and WiFi. Pool was nice to have though found couldn't really swim in ocean off deck. Was better to go up coast a bit. Having never been to Belize,we took 15 min flight to San Pedro and were greeted by Karen with our golf cart...

"I can’t wait to go back! We had a wedding in Cabo and because of the distance I decided to make a vacation of it and wanted to go beyond the typical resort area of Cabo/San Jose. Los Barriles is a wonderful little town that is still small, but has all amenities you’ll need. Swimming in the bay is absolutely lovely, but besides goggles you must have water shoes. I’m not a wuss, but there are soooo many rocks to walk across before getting in the water that it’s almost impossible without shoes....

"The location at the top of the hill has amazing views of the Central Valley. The accommodations are basic but a welcome bottle of wine, snacks, butter and milk for coffee are nice touches. However, there is no air conditioning and the windows face due east. In the morning, that means bright sun directly into the sleeping space. "The view from this property is amazing. The distance to town was not bad. The food in the town of Montezuma was wonderful too. Peter was a great host and we had all that we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered patio watching the sun rise in the AM. And we took full advantage of the pool during the heat of the day. We will be back to visit for sure!!!"
