"We stay at this property twice a year. Excellent, well-maintained property providing exceptional value. The small beach cove provides calm water year-round. The pools are about 4 feet deep and so they heat up nicely on sunny days. Food is wonderful with many choices including 3 buffet restaurants and 5 private dining restaurants. The Expedia building is centrally located near the quiet pool. I ask and within a few minutes someone is there to help. "

"Ground were beautiful, staff was great, food was pretty good. There’s only 1 buffet on the platinum side but there’s a handful of other restaurants to eat at which don’t require a reservation except for the Tapenyaki. The beach does have seaweed issues as you would expect in this area but it’s still beautiful to walk down and there’s good spots to swim if you’re willing to walk a bit. "

"Just returned from a 5 night stay at the resort. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had an amazing balcony that gave us a view of the ocean. The dining options were varied and gave us an opportunity to try all different types of cuisine. One of our favorite amenities was the changing/shower rooms for those guests who arrived before their room was ready, or have to check out before they need to leave for the airport. We arrived at 0800 and used the rooms to change into our bathing suits to enjoy the resort while our room was being readied. They watched our luggage for us while we swam and laid in the sun. On our last day, our flight didn't leave until the evening. We checked out at noon, left our suitcase with the bell hop and went back to enjoy the pools until about an hour before we had to leave. We then used the showers/changing rooms to clean-up for our departure to the airport. The rooms were gorgeous, clean and stocked with towels for our use and made our final hours very enjoyable. The only complaint we have is in regards to the lounge chairs at the pools. Each morning, people would go out to the chairs as early as 6 a.m. and put their towels out to save them. They wouldn't return until 3-4 hours later. This made it very difficult to find any vacant chairs by the pools. The resort should take action regarding this behavior and not allow this to happen."

"Our family of five stayed over spring break. Kids are ages 11, 9 and 6. The rooms were perfect for us (kind and bunk bed), food was great for both adults and children and there were fun activities for all. The beach was the highlight of our trip - you just can’t beat it. I would recommend Sandos Playacar and would definitely go there again. Great memories are to be made at this resort!"

"Family vacation during spring break. I booked this trip several months before the journey. I didn't read the reviews before purchasing, but after buying, I decided to read them, and I was very disappointed by the reviews. Now, to the point.The hotel is large, the territory is green, and there are plenty of activities for children. They really enjoyed it.We arrived early in the morning and were offered early check-in for a small fee, special thanks to Leonardo!Food There is a fairly wide selection at the buffet, the food is fresh, and there are no special complaints.But it's practically impossible to reserve a la carte restaurants. The option, as we did, is to quickly book at 11:59 p.m., and if you're lucky, you'll get a reservation.Beach You can't do without flip-flops, it's very rocky. But if you walk to the right for about 10 minutes, you'll find a sandy beach. Overall, everyone was satisfied."
