"It is big but really doesn’t have much furniture.Two decks on the main floor have no furniture at all except pots for the plants. The roof deck is very large, the beautiful wood sun chairs on it have no cushions, none are available. There are no umbrellas. There is a shade up there though, over the dining table. We had to buy a fry pan, all the pots and pans supplied, except one, were pealing non stick. The coffee maker is tiny. A bit of sewer smell in the bathrooms on occasion, water...

Grand Riviera Princess - All Inclusive

2/10 Terrible

"I ordered room service and even though it’s “all inclusive” room service is not include. The food was disgusting (soggy and dry and cold chicken) I called to tell them and they said I could return it. Same night my room flooded because the water was not draining in the shower and I called maintenance they came until almost midnight. They said they would fix it and never did. The next day I took a bath the flooding got worse and the water was spilling from the tub and coming out of the toilet and shower it filled all the way until the living room area and my clothes and shoes got soaked with toilet water. They again came at midnight and had 5 guys trying to unclog the drains and then they said their pipes had an issue and said they would move me. I was in my robe and I had to pack all my things at 1:00am to move to another suite. All I received was a “sorry for the I convince”"

"The staff were amazing -- Melanie, Erik and Andres for entertainment were fantastic. Veni for service was wonderful. Carlos best bartender. Aaron was an amazing concierge. We had a great stay. My biggest complaint was the gym. Every lower body machine was broken and folks have said its like this for many months. Also NEED air conditioning in Azure restaurant. It was so uncomfortable in there. Otherwise great time. "

"Our second time and we had such a fun and memorable experience. The awesome entertainment staff- Vivi, Suzi, Gustavo, Moses and Victor ( I’m sure I forgot someone) kept things lively and upbeat. The daily entertainment they provided was fun and lively and the evening shows were well done. I also really appreciated the lifeguards whom were so friendly and helped out so much when needed. Of course, I cannot forget to mention the bartenders. The bartenders were so pleasant and accommodating and made great drinks. Finally, the restaurant staff are so hardworking and friendly and the food was great. Our favorite were the Baja tacos and fajitas! Exceptional! There were a few minor issues - such as the sea weed that had a horrible smell. The staff worked hard to keep up with maintenance but the ocean won every time."

"The resort is nice; the grounds are well-maintained, and the room is decent—clean and tidied up thoroughly every day. The pillows, however, are terribly hard. The buffet is adequate; you can certainly find something to eat. I also visited the buffets at the Princess Riviera, and I really enjoyed the food there. The beach is, frankly, terrible—even without the sargassum, there are rocks everywhere—though it does have a certain unique character. The beach at the Riviera was slightly better, though there were still rocks there as well. The theater was excellent; the shows were interesting and vibrant—that is, perhaps, the very best feature of the resort. The alcohol is cheap and virtually undrinkable. Overall, it is a peaceful and cozy resort, and I felt safe during my stay."

"The entire hotel and rooms were super clean, kind staff, many clean pools, excellent food at the main dining hall. Restaurants were a little disappointing though which was fine given the ample options available at the dining hall. Highly recommend this resort!"

"We had the privilege upgrade which was 100% worth it. We had a great experience every time we ate at the privilege lounge, every interaction was the best, they do their best to provide you with the best service, Manuel was our waiter most of the time, he was amazing every single time. Pedro, the manager of the restaurant always makes sure you are receiving the best possible treatment. Out butler, Ariz, was great as well, always available with the best attitude to help. Belen from privilege Lounge, Antonio from the pool bar, Lizbeth the pool waitress, Jorge from the privilege office and Ronaldo from the Italian reataurant were all amazing. The food at this resort was great, the cleaning service always had the areas spotless, and the convenience of having everything closed by made our stay the perfect family vacation."
