THE THOUSAND KYOTO
4.5 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (811)
"Wonderful hotel, adjacent to train station and yet peaceful/zen. If it’s your first time to Kyoto and you have a lot of exploring to do, this is such a great location. I was a little concerned about not being able to walk out of the hotel to grab excellent food, but that couldn’t be farther from the case. We were able to walk less than 10 min to a highly regarded shabu shabu restaurant and a famous ramen spot, not to mention all the fantastic food in the train/subway station! The hotel staff...

Asai Kyoto Shijo Hotel
3.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (134)
"Clean, comfortable room and friendly service in a convenient central location. Many breakfast options available in the hotel cafe (Western, Japanese, Thai). The walls and windows are thin so it can get noisy at times. We stayed on the 2nd floor, so perhaps a room on a higher floor would have been quieter. Other than that, everything was great."

Hotel Vischio Kyoto by GRANVIA
4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (1007)
"Rooms are clean, functional with modern furnishing. It is not very spacious (22 & 26 sq m) especially the triple sharing but this is expected. We like chilling at the lobby lounge with a cup of cuppa or hot cocoa before heading out in the morning. The airport bus limousine is just opposite the hotel, which is a lot more pleasant to ride on vs lugging the luggages to the train station especially this is Golden Week!"

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (193)
"A short few minute walk away from Kyoto Station. Friendly staff to greet you from the moment you arrive and every time you leave and come back too. We got the three twin bed plus futon pull out room for a family of two adults and two children ages 7 and 5. It never felt too cramped or small. The hotel has laundry, complimentary drinks (coffee and juice usually) during the day. An onsite onsen was quite nice. You can check how busy it is using the TV as well.
