"Magical, simply magical. That is the only way to describe this place. From arrival to egress, the people there made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Breakfast and Dinner were served everyday and you do NOT want to miss them. I'm a large guy and I thought I wouldn't get full, I was wrong. The Ryokan is immaculate and the grounds are spectacular. We had planned to spend a day in Kyoto but we spend so much time wandering around the shrines, shops, cafes, and coffee houses we never made it into the city. This place was perfect. I can't recommend it enough! "
