"Beautifully appointed room. Felt like a restful oasis, after a strenuous day. Everything was the highest quality and the staff were helpful and polite and seemed to genuinely care that we were happy. Loved the place."

"The way the room has been built despite not being big, very practical and comfortable.
Location also very central and close to nice areas with cafes and restaurants. "

"It’s a great little hotel in a very quiet part of Kyoto. If you wish to get away from all the crowds and just experience how the locals live, this is a hotel for you. We had a room with a private onsen bath, which was just perfect at the end of all the sightseeing.
Special thanks to the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable.
We also booked a kaiseki dinner at their restaurant (in a sister hotel) Futago. Incredible food and service. I highly recommend you try it if...

"The rooms are always cozy and quiet, as well as the bathrooms are AMAZING here. I love the japanese style washroom as well as the beds are comfy. Only complaint is they are a little low to the ground, but the only person who had a problem with that was my parents. Other than that this property is so beautiful and quiet and low key, my favorite place to stay thank you all in Kyoto!!"

Hotel staff are very friendly with a self service bag drop before checkin.
Loved it!"

"clean, outstanding onsen (6 separate baths + steam sauna), convenient location for transportation and shopping, many dining options nearby, breakfast buffet was expansive "
"This is a great hotel, close to all entertainment and dining options. It is walkable to subway stations, and the best part is the on site Onsen. We used it every night."
"Spotless. Decent size for Japan. But you need to move around furniture if you have large suitcases. Book the room with 2 beds if you want more space!"
