"I loved the food at the Don Rafael buffet. The staff at this resort were amazing and friendly. The entertainment was great, I just wish there had been more nights like the salsa dancing night rather than American-ized music most nights, but I understand they probably get more crowd engagement with American music. "We love Occidental at Xcaret because we love seeing wildlife when we travel. We also love seeing ruins and learning about the early history. The resort is beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and there are plenty of food choices. We are vegan, so enjoy the many vegetables, fruits, beans and grains available. We also loved snorkeling in the circular stone ocean inlet. So many fish, corals, anemones in a protected area."
