Rydges Rotorua
4.5 star property

"The hotel can do with an upgrade but our room was a good size and views of the geothermal outside our window. The hotel had plenty of complimentary parking and when it did overflow there was street parking, which wasn't too far and still walkable. "

Prince's Gate Hotel
4.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1001)
"Prince’s Gate was an older property. The room was clean and comfortable, but you could hear people walking on the porch outside. The door to our room was weird as the door knob was at knee level. Parking was ample and free. We had drinks at the bar and service was very good. The area around the fireplace in the great room was warm and comfy. We ate breakfast both mornings at Citron Cafe about two blocks from the hotel and it had exceptional food and service. Loads of shopping and restaurants...

"When we drove up the exterior was a little dated but inside there was a real feeling of luxury. Velvet seats in the reception area, chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. Our room showed a little bit of wear in places but overall it was well finished super quiet, clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were very helpful. As a family of five it was an excellent option for us and would highly recommend to anyone wishing to go to Rotorua for a family holiday."

2.5 star property
6.2 out of 10, (660)
"Room was nice and big. Shelves under bathroom sink need a thorough clean and behind the radiator was quite dusty (I’m asthmatic) but other than that the room was great. The water gets really really hot in the shower but I imagine that the water in the hot springs heats the showers so just something to be aware of especially if you have a baby or young child with you."
