"We especially loved the harbor view — my 10 year old and I spent a lot of time entertained by the sea planes, cruise ships, and other boats. The heated pool was great, with spectacular view. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Daily housekeeping did a great job. The dining options were tasty—Coal Harbor Bar and room service. It was very busy on cruise ship days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday during our stay) but this mostly impacted outside the hotel where it was chaos (tip — go a few blocks down to summon an Uber!). Inside the hotel was huge so it didn’t feel too crowded. Location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Sky Train from the airport has a stop right outside the hotel. Very convenient!"
Grand Park Hotel & Suites Downtown Vancouver, Ascend Hotel Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Grand Park was an older hotel downtown that was super convenient and adjacent to an area with a lot of great dining options. Front desk staff was very helpful and it was a 10 minute Uber to Roger's arena and 25 minute safe walk back after the show. "
"The Sutton Place Vancouver is beautiful and I highly recommend it. Can’t beat the location, situated right beside Robson.
I loved the view from our hotel. It’s worth it to pay more to stay on a higher floor for the view and the quiet space.
The hotel provides L’Occitane products - gorgeous.
I loved the bathroom, it had a sensor light under the vanity near the toilet. Brilliant idea.
The sun deck is premium, so is the fitness facility.
It also has a spa, but didn’t have time to book a treatment. The hot tub was great, so was the pool.
It’s walking distance from a ton of amazing restaurants and bakeries. The Boulevard restaurant attached to the hotel is a must visit. Exceptional food and service, we ate there three times out of the four days we stayed at the hotel.
The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was the bed. Which is extremely disappointing because you want a good sleep on vacation. The staff did their best to accommodate me, they were very kind.
That said, I much prefer the beds at the Fairmont.
