"A nice place to telax"
A beautiful place to relax. 'Millhouse' is a Very lovely restaurant with passionate and knowledgeable staff. Housekeeping people were great too. Negatives: The front desk didn't seem very attentive, there were a couple of new trainees working with Experienced ones - it was very slow; The guy working at fitness Centre wasn't friendly or polite at all, he seemed just not 'interested', the girls were lovely though.

"Good Locations"
We got was we consider an Expedia room - closest to the street. But the road noise was not that bad. It was comfortable and spacious; but the bathrooms could use and makeover. There is no table/desk in the room and I had to use lobby to work on my computer. Wifi was excellent as compared to many hotels/motels on the South Island. True free wifi and not chits for a Hot Spot Type. We found the walk into town easy - about 10/15 minutes and a number of paths/routes - 2 of them through Queenstown Park. All in all a good stay.

Easy access into complex, but car parking not that easy when booking in. Room large and light, with semi view over the lake. Quiet at night.

"Comfortable hotel handy to lakeside and town"
The hotel reception staff were courteous and efficient. The barman on duty for the afternoon went out of his way to set us up for a lunchtime snack in the garden - it was a lovely sunny day, too nice to be inside. Some rooms are a long way from the lobby, worth getting help with luggage. Getting into town is via a short ride in the hotel shuttle bus, which runs hourly, or via a pleasant lakeside walk (if time allows - and once you get across the busy road) The restaurant food was excellent first night, not so good the second. Buffet breakfast excellent.

Beautiful location on the lake. Hotel itself has been updated and is clean and modern. Staff if very friendly and helpful. Fabulous 6th floor lounge and restaurant with views of the lake. Room was clean BUT very small and it was a problem just for 2 people to move around. No air conditioning or even air circulation for the room.

Central Ridge Boutique Hotel - Queenstown Hotels

"Quiet Hotel just outside town, great service"
Central Ridge is close to Queenstown, without being right in the middle. At our age, we didn't want to stay and chill around the lake, lounging around, but then again, we're not ready to be at the bars until the morning hours. And that was the best thing about Central Ridge, a nice accommodation of both. We were by Queenstown Gardens, and a 5 minute walk into town. Meaning we were able to make dinner reservations and get them to easily, hang by the beach, roam the town, and even get to Fergburger in the morning hours (when its considerably less busy) before our airport shuttle came. That was the convenient part. We also enjoyed the quiet as it was outside of town, meaning we didn't have to hear the guitar players on the beach, or the large number of college students at the bars. The staff was very friendly, and was super helpful at check-in and during breakfast. Oh yes, and the breakfast was very delicious, with everything from pancakes to a full kiwi breakfast of meat, eggs, toast, and vegemite.
