Positioned to capture peaceful bush and lake views, this elevated laid back home provides a great set up for fun and relaxation by the lake!

Family Fun at The Lake is a 2 storey 5-bedroom 2-bathroom Lake Tarawera holiday home. Step inside to find several spacious living areas upstairs, with a fireplace to keep everyone warm during the colder months - there is ample room for your group to unwind.

With good indoor/outdoor flow from both sides of the lounge. One of the decks is ideal for year-round living with rain and winder sheltering, while the other is perfect for sunny weather - fire up the BBQ or simply sit back and admire the tranquillity of the treetops.

With external access only, a second living space downstairs provides the perfect layout for families and couples, including a kitchenette and sitting area. A pool table completes the downstairs area - perfect for keeping the family entertained on any indoor days.

For days on the lake, a dinghy and 2 kayaks are on hand, with 2 childrens life jackets available during your stay. There are walking tracks nearby to explore, and a number of other beautiful lake locations to visit for day trips.

Whether you are after relaxation or adventure, this is an excellent spot for Family Fun at The Lake!
As shown in the photos, this property has unfenced access to a large expanse of bush nearby. It is essential that guests take person responsibility for the safety of their group in and around the bush area adjacent to the property. Please note the staircase at this property is external. We enjoyed our Bach experience The Bach in the bush with great views of the lake reminded me of the baches of my youth -lower story rooms in a converted garage but with a pool table to entertain. Upper storey spacious with a log fire

Lovely Place to stay
This house was impressing when we arrived during the evening as the place was lit up giving us the 'wow' factor. There were 10 of us staying so we fitted in well. However it had a damp smell in/on the bottom floor of which we tried to 'air the place out'. There was 2 room's up top, one with the queen size bed, which I felt was really standard compared to the queen size downstairs. This room also had a smell that we could not make out what it was (strange). Later on that evening the power went out in the bottom room and hallway as well as the top bedroom and 2nd lounge area. This had also affected the hot water tank as we had to cope with cold water for 2 days. I tried to contact the managers to no avail. I still have not heard from them (left messages on there mobile) and it has been 3 days since we left the property. I must warn people that when we booked, it looked like we were not to far from town but the trip took 20 minute's especially if you dont know the roads. Too far out for my liking. other than that, it was nice and warm inside due to the fireplace and plenty of wood to burn. Kitchen facility and stocked very well. Apart from the cold water it was nice...
