Mardi Gras & JazzFest in Marigny secure gated parking btw French Quarter Bywater

1,100 sq ft, two bedroom gorgeous home located in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny, walking distance to the French Quarter and the Bywater. This house is unique in that it is one of the first newly built homes in over 100 years in this historic district of New Orleans. You would not know it from the outside and many of the grand details inside but modern creature comforts are a great plus. It also has a private gated driveway for one vehicle which gives extra security.
The neighborhood is full of finds. We are four blocks from the Mississippi River and Crescent Park, a few blocks away to grocery stores, coffee shops, authentic restaurants and local nightlife. We are a short walk to the French Quarter and bike rentals, buses and street cars to get around the city.
The house is fully equipped for your comfort and needs. Central air and heat, great insulation, High speed Wifi and cable tv included.
One half bath downstairs and a full jack and jill bathroom upstairs with a double vanity. If you want to relax and stay in we have a great kitchen and the awesome balcony where you can relax and watch the Marigny go by. For Mardi Gras we are in the center of local action. You wouldn't even have to walk to the Quarter to have a full colorful Carnival experience. (But we recommend the whole shebang.) Sleeps up to four, No people under 25 and loud groups, Families with children may be considered!

Wonderful time in Bywater

We have visited New Orleansaloksot every year since French Quarter Fest. We have visited at this fine home the last three years and are very pleased.The bywater area is very charming with lots of fine restaurants.Highly recommended

The location and the prefect spot for a fab weekend Everything was perfect. The bathroom upstairs is a Jack and Jill so there were two bedrooms and they each had a door to the bathroom in the middle. It was absolutely perfect for me and my friend.

Amazing location close to but outside the "party zone" of NOLA

We loved our stay here. Cara was an attentive host, and her home is fantastic. We appreciated that it was a short (15 minute) walk into the heart of the French Quarter, where we could participate in the raucous partying along Bourbon Street. Yet, when we had enough, we could retire to a quiet suburban oasis, with nice bars and restaurants just around the corner.

Comfortable Private Home with lots of Conveniences

Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home during our stay with special local favors. They had everything we needed on hand and the house was incredibly comfortable. The private parking spot and locked gate was an extra perk!

Excellent property!!!

Super clean property (and we're kind of clean freaks!) that is super cozy and has everything you need! It is at least a 15 minute walk to everything, however felt safe all times of day and it was fun to look at all the cute homes along the route. Hosts made themselves available and prompt in responding, though we didn't have any issues at all. Best VRBO we've stayed in! Highly recommend:)

Spring Break

My daughter and I traveled to NOLA for a short spring break getaway. This property was perfect for our needs. The space was lovely, and we loved the cute neighborhood location and the easy walk to the French Quarter. It was also great for ending our day listening to music on Frenchmen Street. Cara was an excellent host, providing prompt responses to our inquiries, as well as a very easy check in and check out process. We highly recommend this property.

Super Bowl Trip

The property was first rate. We were able to walk to the French Quarter and the Superdome, and always felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Cara was very responsive to any questions I had.

Charming New Orleans Dwelling in Perfect Location

We loved staying here. The unit is immaculately clean with all the amenities. A big bonus is the gated parking area. The neighborhood is quiet and residential even though its minutes walk away to Frenchmen street with lots of live music. We would highly recommend the unit for two couples or a family.

Lovely house in the middle of the Marigny

We had a really wonderful stay at Cara’s house. She was super responsive to every question and the house was very clean and comfortable. It’s fully stocked with ample towels etc. and cute Halloween decorations too :)

Perfect Stay

Gah!! This place was perfectly clean with super comfy beds and a user friendly kitchen. We LOVED the neighborhood with all the colorful houses and gas lamp lighting. It was easy to walk to Frenchman's Street and to other beautiful and delicious places to eat. We didn't know that the Marigny Opera House was around the corner and would have loved to see a performance there. My favorite was sitting on the balcony with my coffee and a book. The owners were really helpful, communicative and friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing home, wonderful location!

Came for a girls' weekend to escape the start of a Midwest Winter -- we had an fantastic stay at Cara's lovely home! From the welcome beverages upon arrival to prompt communication throughout, including recommendations for restaurants and tattoo parlors, our stay felt very special! The home was spacious and comfortable enough for 3, beds comfy, amenities plentiful, and the outdoor space both balcony and courtyard were a delight! The location was excellent we walked everywhere and always felt safe! Highly recommend this property!!

Fantastic property and location

This is a really lovely property. Spacious communal areas, plenty of amenities in the kitchen and good sized bedrooms with built in wardrobes. The beds were super comfy too. Decent sized outdoor area which catches a lot of sun. Well stocked supermarket about a 15 minute walk away. The property was no more than a 30 minute walk away from any of the main sights you'd want to see. Great location. The hosts were lovely to deal with and very accommodating of our requests.

Stay in NOLA

Property was beautiful. Centrally located to the French Quarter, about a 16 minute walk to the French Quater Farmer's Market, and a 33 minute walk to Bourbon Street. Didn't have to get in touch with the owners while staying there, but communication was very good with them before checking in and prior to checking out. I would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay here again for any future trips! There is a lot to do while in NOLA and you will not be bored at all.

The Best Weekend!❤️

We enjoyed our stay so much at this beautiful home. Cara had left a lot of information of places to eat and plenty of suggestions on things to do. The bed was comfortable but the part we liked the most they have a little private driveway for your car. I also enjoyed the balcony right outside the Master bedroom. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. If we get to come back again we would definitely like to stay here again. Tena & Jeff

The stay was excellent. The property was as described, and accommodations were wonderful. Would have been 5 stars, except someone was noticeably on the property while we were away from the location. There was no communication from the owner in regards to this so I cannot confirm if someone somehow gained access or if the property owner was just cleaning up after us?

Excellent location for lovely Marigny/Bywater neighborhood!

Beautiful home in quiet Marigny/Bywater neighborhood with what felt like a recent remodeled traditional interior (structurally and interior design). Every detail of interior (floors, paint, decorations, bedding, closets, storage for longer stay, water pressure, etc) taken into consideration so that we immediately felt we could relax and enjoy both the property and immediate surroundings. Security of property (bolted front door, locked gate/with parking spot within cement gardenscape/art reassuring). Views of charming neighborhood street, sunrises/sunsets, and beautifully remodeled red fire station (now a home across the street) from second floor balcony off upstairs bedroom a photographer's dream. The shared wall with neighbors a non-issue. Local grocer (Mardi Gras) and cafe's, bistros, and restaurants top-notch quality yet personable and community-like. We loved it and found it hard to leave.
