"Pre-cruise stay. Very convenient to cruise port and riverfront shopping mall. Easy walk to entertainment district of NOLA. We did incur an extra charge upon check-in not related to parking, which was unexpected and never explained, but overall the staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were quite adequate for our short stay, and even though we overlooked the street, there was no detectable outside noise. Close to cruise parking as well."

"The first night I was there there was yelling and screaming and fighting outside my room. They had to call the police and that was on Saturday, March 1 they said that they were not charging me for the first night which was Saturday night and they said that Expedia has to give me my refund. "This is a refurbished stately old hotel, with huge rooms and a very friendly staff. It's about a half mile from the French quarter and much quieter (Lafayette park is right next door). There's an excellent restaurant kitty- corner and a well regarded steak house next door within the building. There's also a very good grocery store two blocks away which has a good selection of wines and beers and take out foods. "

"Staff uncooperative, front desk kept play on the phone when I checked in. Misleading regarding parking and breakfast as both for extra money. Bed was twin while I booked king.I should have two beverages for free, did not happen. Valet parking is terrible, he brought my car toward the end of street, on a rainy day, and when asked, all this side is valet pick up and was rude. "
