"I was initially skeptical after reading some reviews, but the resort exceeded expectations and is extremely family-friendly. The biggest highlight is the pool setup: one large main pool plus several smaller pools with fun slides for kids. Our child swam twice a day and loved every minute. There’s also a well-run kids club, though we barely used it because the pools were such a hit. Food and drinks were another standout. The buffet offers excellent variety and consistently tasty food. The coffee shop serves great coffee and high-quality baked goods, and there’s even a candy and ice cream shop open throughout the day. In addition to the main buffet, the resort has Asian, Italian, and Mexican restaurants, all serving excellent and tasty dinners. They’re only open in the evening, but getting there around 6:30 pm avoids any wait. The staff were consistently courteous, flexible, and eager to help. The resort also keeps guests entertained with volleyball, yoga, water aerobics, beach games, and excellent nightly shows including a magic show, which was very good! The one thing that was a problem was that there was a lot of sea-weed in the beach waters but that is a problem for the whole Cancun coastline and affects all hotels and it doesn't seem like it can be humanly fixed. So if you love to swim in beach waters then I'd recommend going after September when the sea-weed subsides. Other than that the drinks are definitely watered down so ask for double shots :)."

"We had a very good experience at the resort. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any request. The room was clean, and well-maintained throughout our stay. The pool was also well-kept, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy. Every meal was delicious and of high quality, offering plenty of options for every taste. One of the highlights of the stay was the entertainment program organized around the pool and throughout the hotel. There were creative workshops, fun water games, and relaxing painting sessions. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a stress-free vacation with excellent service."

"Stayed here four nights for sons graduation party with friends. It is in a nice location and you are able to use the amenities at the other Riu resorts. Pound for pound this is probably the best value you can get for an all inclusive Carribean style vacation. The food was actually decent and they pour decent alcohol like Patron. Piano player in lounge and night entertainment like silent disco or live bands were outstanding. I found the area easy walking to Senor Frogs/Coco Bunga and safe. Only rub I had was the mattress was pretty bad and the shower wont hold a constant temperature. The place is close to needing a refresh but great staff and cleanliness made up for it"

"The food at this all inclusive is off the walls!!! Totally exceeds the typical all inclusive food I’ve experienced. The beach was well maintained. The room was absolutely gorgeous and room service was on point! Bartenders at Twiggy’s were very nice and always served up tasty drinks, including the best piña colada i’ve ever had! Only thing is I wish there was more poolside seating as we had to loop around our last two days to find a spot, and I wish there was like live music and dancing daily in the lobby or open area downstairs at night."

"Simply the best. The service is next level. Special Thank You to our butlers Monse, David, and Omar! They are amazing. Here is a breakdown of key areas: Beaches: 5 out of 10 (not Ziva’s fault; we chose to go in May knowing the sargassum could be bad and it was). Service: 10 out 10. Monse, David, and Omar really go the extra mile. Food: 9 out of 10. Very high quality and good variety. We stayed away from the buffet due to all the kiddos so this rating is limited to the restaurants. Special thanks to Victor at Lorenzo’s and Alexis at Chevy’s! Fitness: 10 out of 10. Best fitness classes we’ve ever participated in Cancun. Eduardo and Gustavo will really work you out and I am not talking aqua aerobics. I am talking HIIT, Tibata, CrossFit, and many more! Drinks: 8 out of 10. We’re not big drinkers, so this isn’t that important to us. Aracely at the Punta Vista pool (adults only) is amazing! Cleanliness and Comfort: 10 out of 10. The staff is super attentive. If we had the “do not disturb” sign on the door during the day, we received a courtesy call in the evening to make sure we didn’t need anything. Overall this is one of the best resorts we’ve been to in Cancun. It is on the pricier side, but this case, you get what you pay for. When the sargassum isn’t bad, it is also 2 of the best beaches in Cancun. We’ll definitely be back!"
