Perfect location
Excellent location. Easy check in Clean Cereals, toast and jams freely available and tea and coffee. Hot tub a nice place to sit and relax, wonderful view of the lake.

Ideally situated for hospital or town in a quiet area with stunning view of the lake; just 5 mins walk to town centre. Small room and en-suite, but spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and quality bedding. The only drawback for us was the creaky floorboards above when occupants walked around - but their bedtime was similar to ours! Highly recommended and very good value- we’ll be back

Couldn't contact property via the number given or via Wotif. The phone on the wall didn't work at the front door. Called another number listed at the front door to gain access. Front door doesn't close properly which made us feel insecure as it's a share house, not individual apartments as promoted. Mat in hallway made it impossible to roll bags to our room. Breakfast was OK, frozen bread doesn't bother us but may do to others. There were 5 long life milks of which 4 were open. Breakfast was complimentary which was nice but maybe should be checked more often. Owner was pleasant and understanding that I didn't receive an email about access. Property is located in a very dangerous spot. Street parking if you don't get in quick, which I was worried about cars side swiping our car as they came around the corner. Room was comfortable, but shared facilities are dated. Free washing machine and dryer which would be handy. Lighting didn't work down the side of the property.

When booking this you need to be aware that it's a bit like a hotel room in that the room is just a bedroom, with an ensuite, off a corridor and has no outlook at all. Everything else is in the communal area, that you share with guests in the other 2 bedrooms, including the lounge sit down area, dining space, outdoor area & views to the lake, refrigerator, kitchen etc etc. Room was nice and clean with good standard of bed and bedding and was comfortable. Shower has soap but no shampoo etc. Perfect accommodation to book the 3 bedrooms for a ladies weekend or similar as then you'd have the whole place all to yourselves with the very large communal area and facilities.

Highly recommended, nicely decorated!
This was a lovely, clean, self-service apartment/lodge. Plenty of room in the main area for multiple guests to hang out without getting in each others' way, great view over the lake, and all amenities you could need. Room and en-suite were great, and decor all over was really nice. Also, it was in an absolutely perfect location for our purpose. Really good place to stay, I would recommend it to any couples/friends/small groups.

Rotorua Apartments with shared kitchen
This is a small premises with 3 rooms that have a shared kitchen and lounge area, laundry, BBQ and hot tub all for sharing. It also has a separate self-contained penthouse and studio apartment which we had not booked. While some distance from shops it is close to the lake and a central thermal park. Cereal, milk, bread and spreads is provided free for breakfast

Over priced shared accommodation
A bit over priced for what you get. It's all self service. My bed side cabinet had a big sticky patch of something on it. The toilet dripped all night and the passage smoke alarm would go off during the night. All easy fixes. The area looked a little rough, but was OK. Breakfast is super budget. Budget bread in the freezer. There are 3 rooms, but you all share the same living room, outdoor area and kitchen. Parking is actually parking on the street or 1 spot in driveway.

Good view, close to shops but no parking
There is a view from the lounge but it is a shared lounge for 3 other bedrooms. The continental breakfast is available on self-service but you might want to test it prior to eating they've frozen the bread so that it can surpass it's expiry date. The rooms are fairly tidy but quite dusty. There are only 3 off street parking spaces available and the location of this apartment is right at a bend/ blind corner so it can be dangerous. There are parking spaces across the road but this belongs to the Rotorua Hospital. If you want to secure your off street carpark at the apartment best to leave your car once you've checked in. There is no reception available you'll have to call them by phone.

We weren't expecting shared facilities including tv. Only one large towel but 5 hand towels not a show stopper. Bedroom was very small but clean and tidy.

Great location
I had booked a small room that was beside the lounge. The TV was playing and easily heard. I requested a quieter room and was directed to the Studio apartment which was excellent in every way. The hotel management though not present was contactable via phone message and pleasant to deal with. Sadly, the jacuzzi was under repair.

Close to shops and ' Eat Streat'
Nice place to stay, bedroom was fresh and clean looking. There is no reception on site but management are easy to access via the phone at the facility. Shared lounge is tidy, has big screen TV, kitchen is modern.

We had a great night here- the position is great with lake views. We had another couple sharing the living areas/kitchen but that was quite enjoyable swapping travel stories. Would definitely stay there again

We were surprised by the tidiness and overall condition of the place. Its easy to see that they put a lot of effort into making the place comfortable even though its a self check in. We had a great time there and will definitely recommend to all our friends!

These are not apartments - this is a share house and the description should be clearer. Seems like most of these Photos are of the large apartment upstairs. The lower part of the house is aging and in need of refurbishment. My bedroom had no TV or Radio to relax with at the end of the day. The TV is in the shared part of the house so other guests want to use it first in first serve. My bathroom had exposed gib and cracks in the tiles. Continental breakfast was stale cornflakes and a budget brand bread in the shared fridge. Also this is completely unstaffed, I was texted a code for the door and there was no one to help when upstairs apartment guests where very noisy. Parking- it says this is available but I was told to park across the road at the Hospital carpark - there are signs everywhere saying for staff and patients only or a tow away applies. I queried this and was told you should be fine. Overall an uncomfortable stay.

Hello Jade. It is unfortunate that you have had this experience. We state clearly that the Lodge is a shared facility with private rooms with ensuite. We have a note in the shared area that we are renovating bathrooms and the kitchen. Continental breakfast provisions are provided free. we take on board your comment on freshness. It is unfortunate that the road was in a state of major repair limiting close parking. All the best.

Not what it looks like
Didnt realize it was shared accommodation and that we only had a room. Was just one step up from a backpackers. If you went out you had to be quiet as other guest were sleeping.Trip on meter flipped so fridge didnt work dishwasher didnt work. Wasnt enough sugar or butter for amount of guest staying there. Alright if you want to stay as a group but for get away for couples etc i would book else where

Thank you for your comment. We have refunded 10% on your night stay. It is clearly noted that the lodge is a shared facility. The circuits have been sorted and hopefully no more tripping of sockets. We have replaced the sugar container and there is now more sugar to cater for the guest. All the best.

Good communication from the venue, received notice regarding renovations taking place. Had a hiccup with the key but this was quickly rectified and did not hamper our visit. Off-site management was a bit odd, but worked well for the most part. Room would be better suited to a solo traveler rather than twin share, and hopefully the shower flooding will be fixed with the reno. Still had a pleasant stay :)
