My family and I had a relaxing 2 night stay. The beds are comfy and I love how spacious the room is. Kitchenette had everything we needed. Staff is friendly and very communicative, since we were going to check in after reception closed we followed the instruction for self check in. I highly recommend Thermal Oaks Motel!

Very practical motel
Well located and very easy friendly check in. The hotel is a little tried and could do with a bit of love. But we enjoyed our stay and if you know what you’re paying for it’s fine. Easy walk into town for dinner and a big supermarket just down the road.

The 2 bedroom accommodation was clean and tidy, and parking was easy right outside. Not far from Rotorua cbd (2 mins drive and 25 mins walk). One thing that would have been appreciated is foldout luggage stands for the two bedrooms (one in each wardrobe).

The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious and just fine for the one night we needed it. I struggle with this review, because I do I have other points a preference in Roturua. The building is older and quite basic and the rooms are very spare. The spa is a bit of a cage/cell. Stairs are carved wood difficult to navigate in bifocals. To my spoiled American self, the issue may be that this doesn’t seem a 3.5 star hotel—it felt more 2.5. But, again, clean and comfortable and welcoming.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and spacious and contained everything we needed and the onsite laundry was very convenient. The spa pools could do with a refurb but we still enjoyed them!

Room 8 ,next to the hallway door. Meant to be closed after reception hours. Other guests / staff kept using this door .opening and closing it whole night to go outside for smoking. We couldn't sleep well because of the noise.

Dear Sachin,Thank you for your time writing this review and bringing up the issue during your stay.Our sincere apology for the noise during the night.Our staff always make sure the back door is locked before finishing work unless there are spa bookings. However, the latest spa booking we have finishes at 20:30, therefore, no staff will be using the back door after 20:30.We have also advised all guests to use front entrance outside reception hour upon arrival and no smoking outside that spa area as per sign we put on the wall. However, it is out of our control if anyone still chooses to enter/exit through the back door since it is more convenient to go that way especially during the rain but we also understand it will be a bit noisy for the guests staying next to the back door.We have been and still are thinking about the solution for this issue and we appreciate your feedback. Hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again and we will allocate you a quieter room that away from both entrances.Thank you.Kind Regards,Thermal Oak Motel
