"This is a good place for a lone traveler. There is a lot of traffic noise from the buses and locals blaring their music at all hours of the night, but I was able to sleep fine. WARNING: be careful with the bedroom door, you can lock yourself out and there is no key for the door. I had to push a window out to be able to access the latch. "Mako 54 was amazing. Herlinda was so accommodating to our arrival time. She met us, made sure we completely understood how access to the apartments worked and was always available if we needed anything. We mistakenly left our laptop behind, she’s notified us before we realized it was left behind. We arranged it to be picked up the next day by ours parents without any problems. We recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, modern and safe place! We will be back!"

"Room was lovely met our needs . Pool fabulous but it had a lot of rules . Could not bring your own refreshments or food . At a condo I would have thought I could . The walk is exhausting even with the little funicular up the steep part . Staff were always friendly and accommodating as best as they could . "To review this property, you must rate the check in/out process differently from the condo/building itself. The check in/out process is super inconvenient. I would give it a 2/10. You must get your keys from another hotel that is eight blocks away (0.4 miles). This is not a “short walk” as it is stated. Dragging your luggage through the streets is not ideal. "I stayed 2 weeks. It is very close to the beach! Walking distance to the Malecon. The room was large with a kitchenette. A microwave would have been a great addition but you can certainly survive without one. Bed was comfortable. There's also a small "balcony" off the bedroom. It would have been nice to have chairs.The pool isn't as large as it looks in the photos but was still great to use. Not at all that noisy. Staff are very helpful and friendly! "
