"Quiet simple boutique hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Had a balcony overlooking the ocean and kept the glass door open to listen to the waves for my entire stay. Have been coming here for years. Looking forward to going back again. "

"Very friendly & efficient housekeeping. Me & my friend stayed in rooms 1 & 2, room 1 had a bad smell due to a laundry room that seemed to be attached to it, he had to use a incense defuser to mask the smell, 2 had a musty smell & they had some sort of a dehumidifier going to dry the room up that made a big noice, both had a powder room with toilet but no mirror which is an easy fix so these rooms can be used better. The mirror in the main toilet in room 2 was very dull so could hardly be used & there was no area or shelf to put toiletries, they seem to have had a glass shelf that had broken. Would be good if they had a small toaster over or microwave in the room. The place was full if not would have asked to be moved. Central location & price was good but they can fix these small issues "

"Amaca is one of my favorite places to stay in Puerto Vallarta. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious, clean, and well organized. Amenities are good and I love the rooftop pool and lounge area."

"Room was clean, staff was nice. So many issues with the two room penthouse suite they shoved all 3 of us into the one bedroom penthouse. Like last time water pressure was awful, no hot water but if it did get hot, then there was no cold. So showers were either cold or scalding hot. Last time our shower curtain rod hole and fell apart and when we tried to put I back on it was so cheap and light weight it just ended up bending again. Great location in beach however not sure if that is worth the room issues. "
