I enjoyed the building and the rooms and bathrooms were clean, however when you first walked in there was a faint smell of urine. This could've been from the bar but either way it was unpleasant. The floors were creaky but that's expected of an older building like this.

Never been in a back packers before. Great community spirit for Tuesday free Mexican dinner. Amazing free breakfast experience.

The internet was good and the staff were nice but unable to enforce rule violators. There were many inconveniences some that could be addressed easily. Not enough toilets. No hooks or mirrors in rooms which would help with bathroom crowding. Public space too small and often closed for use. Beds too low to put a suitcase under. Too small, old, creaky and loud floor boards.

It was really good as I have my private room just across the toilet and shower. The only downside is that it is beside the storage room so it can get a bit noisy...maybe the walls can have more sound proof.
