Located in the heart of Wellington, this luxury hotel is steps away from Old Government Buildings, Wellington Central Business District and Wellington Waterfront. Te Papa (Museum of New Zealand) and TSB Bank Arena are also within 15 minutes. Wellington Station is only a 3-minute walk.
Great Hotel, great staff. Our 2 night stay was awesome. This is our 3rd time staying here for visiting family and friends. Although we paid for our breakfast through Expedia, hotel was not made aware of the breakfast arrangements. This pretty much happened every previous stays. We will come again
My parter and I specifically book a room with a veranda but when we checked it the veranda had been removed???
This also meant the door leading out to it was bolted so there was no airflow.
I wouldn’t have been a big deal except we paid more for the room specifically for it.
The pool changing rooms were also really dirty.
Check in and out was swift. Booked 4 rooms for 8 adult guests and one child. Paid for breakfast with our rooms. Breakfast offer is good. However, staff was really rude when we turned out for breakfast at 6am on the day of our flight. Breakfast signages at lifts, hotel in-room info and their website specifies time of breakfast from 6m on weekdays and 6:30am on weekends. The reception staff even advised to have breakfast first before checking out so we can keep luggages in room and get them after the 6am breakfast on a Monday. Restaurant was already open but buffet was not yet available so we happily sat ourselves and were waiting. Restaurant staff rudely told us that buffet is not ready until 6:30am and was turning us away. She said this several times sounding very annoyed. I told her about signages and she said it is a holiday so they serve at 6:30am. I said they should reflect this in their signages so guests are not confused. They should put an exception for holidays and specify that breakfast is 6am weekdays EXCEPT on holidays. She was very unprofessional walking back and forth repeatedly saying breakfast is at 6:39am on holidays. By this time it was already 6:15 and other guests have turned up for early breakfast too. The hotel should put up clear signages and teach their staff to be better hoteliers and practise good customer service.
