Really good hotel in a great location a short walk from the JR station at Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel and station has a number of department stores and hundreds of small shops, bars, restaurants and everything you would need during your stay. The JR line is the main line that does a loop around most of the places in Tokyo you would want to visit plus there are a few other lines that have a stop at this station. I loved this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with brilliant amenities and a great bathroom. Beds were comfy. The pool and gym were very good (warning to parents - under 18yo not allowed). There were 4 subway lines directly connected to the hotel so getting to other parts of Tokyo was easy. The surrounding area is quiet but with convenience stores and eating options within walking distance. The bar had a nice ambience with good cocktails. The only negative - buffet breakfast...

We had a Mt Fuji facing room though the view was mesmerizing from every direction. We enjoyed a drink at the New York Bar every night and a meal at the beautiful Nozue as well. Breakfast was wonderful with a selection of Japanese and western delights as well as spectacular view and service. It was great to energetically explore Tokyo with the knowledge that we had the luxury and comfort of the hotel to come back to.
