Yankton retreat

We stayed with our three children and their families. Nice secluded location but close to the lake and many amenities/activities. The house is well stocked in the kitchen and baths.

We had a good Labor Day weekend with my sister and her family at the cabin. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, creating a warm atmosphere. Nestled in a serene location near our favorite boat dock, it was a peaceful getaway. We were delighted to encounter deer and a plethora of turkeys during our stay. With a capacity to sleep up to 12 people, the cabin accommodated us well, although we wished for more comfortable seating in the living room. Overall, it was a memorable experience.

Fantastic Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family getaway! We loved the remote area, yet very close to everything we wanted to do! Beautiful, well equipped home. Perfect backyard. We enjoyed our stay immensely and already booked it again for next year!

Great house in great location

This house was ideal for the family to get away for a long weekend. Location is in a great spot at the end of the road surrounded by trees and nature. House was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Lovely cabin

This cabin in the woods was perfect! When you’re on the main floor it’s like your in a tree house. We loved the fire pit and the location. We also loved the decor. It was such a well designed space. Beautiful.

Girls Weekend

Overall the property was gorgeous! It is tucked away so it is quiet but close to any main attraction! I loved being able to walk up the stairs and look out every window and see some type of wildlife! The house was perfect for the girls weekend! Would recommend staying here to anyone! We will be back!

Great family cabin

Really loved this property! Great location at the end of a lane with lots of privacy. We were surrounded by deer and turkeys all weekend. Plenty of beds for families with kids. Cool bunkhouse for the kids. Comfortable sitting areas and a great firepit outside. Highly recommend this property. We will absolutely book again when we are in the area! Great communication from the owners.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay at Shady Creek Cabin. It was perfect for our family stay. The kids loved watching all of the wildlife, and the house was just as described. Very clean. Accurate and prompt communication. Recommend highly.

Attention to details

Not only was the property secluded, extremely clean, and decorated wonderfully, the layout was awesome for two families and every detail was considered… from nightlights in the rooms, to fire pit and beautiful patio, and well stocked kitchen. This is my second time staying at the property and it was excellent both times.

Very private! Kitchen and livingroom are upstairs so be prepared for stairs. Great shady tree views. Saw deer and turkeys super close to dock. Toilet paper is very thin

Loved our stay at Shady Creek Cabin.

This is our second summer that we have stayed in Shady Creek Cabin. It is a beautiful cabin and the wildlife was wonderful to watch. We enjoyed sitting outside by the firepit . We grilled out a few times and also enjoyed some local restaurants. The lake is about 5 minutes away which makes it really nice. I would definitely recommend this place. Looking forward to next year.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods! Didn’t feel like Yankton, SD at all, felt more like the Black Hills. Plenty of space for our group of 12 - adults and teenagers. Loved the fire pit in the backyard and all the space for yard games. The blackstone grill was also a nice addition- loved cooking breakfast on the deck! We will definitely be back!
