Welcome to the cabin! We`ve spent 3 years building every piece of this cabin by hand to create a unique and magical vacation spot for you. It truly is a wonderful forest hideaway.
From the moment you walk in you feel at home, it is cozy and relaxing while offering all the modern amenities you need.
The 100 foot long board walk welcomes you into the forest.
The cabin is surrounded, 360 degrees, with decks and covered porch. A magical babbling brook called `Penny Brook` runs down the full length of the property and can be seen from cozy couch inside.
The cabin is a timber framed open concept cabin with a full height loft. Upstairs the bedroom is tucked under a roof of skylights and from the queen sized bed you can see the stars at night.
The kitchen is well equipped and we offer coffee and tea plus all the basic kitchen amenities you could ask for.
We have high speed wifi, a turntable and record collection, a wood stove, high-end linens and a detached bathhouse with running water and a beautiful shower.
For summer we offer a charcoal BBQ for use on the deck.
There are deck chairs outside and lots of places to hang out for evening meals or morning coffee.
The bathroom is built as a separate building a few steps across the deck from the main cabin. It has a nice glass shower with a big window looking out into the forest and two shower heads.
We have a hand built wood fired hot tub tucked in the woods by the river just steps from the cabin. The tub will be filled with water and we will have lit a fire for you to continue once you arrive. It`s a bit of a labour of love, you will want to stoke the fire and stir the water every half hour for about 3-4 hours (depending on temperature) but once it gets warm it is a magical experience to float next to the river under the spruce branches!
The cabin is perfect for weekend retreats, romantic nights, anniversaries, winter getaways, celebrations, beach going summer holidays, escaping the city and spending time tucked in the forest. It is a great year-round escape.

A beautiful private property nestled in the forest beside a small stream. The cabin is tastefully decorated, impressively constructed with timber framing, and comfortable. Through the giant windows, the view is fantastic and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and found our whole experience at the cabin calming and memorable.
Everything was great from beginning to end . This place wonderful. The wood heated hot tub with fresh water from the river was amazing and easy to use . Highly recommend for a special occasion. We spent our first year wedding anniversary here and we will be back!!
This property exceeded our expectations, offering a completely private setting, spotless cleanliness, and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. Upon arrival, we found everything ready, including the fireplace and hot pool stacked with wood and ready to light, and i'll add, the wood-fired hot pool was a novel experience and a definite highlight. The property's natural setting, with Pennys Brook flowing beside the deck, surrounded by lovely ferns and wildflowers, was stunning. During our stay, a deer even appeared grazing on the opposite side of the brook, seemingly oblivious to our presence. The property's location was perfect for short sea side excursions, and a bonus of just 5 minutes from Rissers and Crescent Beach. We highly recommend this property and will certainly return when visiting the area.
