Other than the fact that there was no wi-fi and we had to leave after 2 days when it was not repaired, this hotel was satisfactory. The management was notified when we arrived that wi-fi was essential to our stay and we were asked to give them time to get it working, which we did for two days. When it was still not repaired and work was no longer being done to repair it, we left the hotel.

Great place, worth a visit.
Great place to set up, down the rd from the bars, and beach front which leads to many beach eateries. Great bar and restaurant manager, everyone was very accommodating.

One of the best places in Weligama
One of the highlights of my trip. Located on the Weligama bay beach and only a few minutes walk from all the surf rentals, restos and pubs. Pool is clean and you have a direct view of the ocean. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Same goes for the bathrooms. There're only 6 rooms so you get a highly personalized service. The staff was remarkably friendly, courteous and helpful. Finally, the in house restaurant is delicious!! Would most definitely go back in a heartbeat!!

Hidden gem
If you want to stay away from large resorts but still love to be right on the beach, Elephant Stables is a great choice. Small hotel with less than 10 rooms, lots of comfort and great staff.

Eines der besten Hotels in der Weligama Bay!
Wir waren eine Woche lang als Paar in diesem Hotel. Es ist sehr klein und familiär, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Sehr persönlich. Wir haben sogar ein Zimmerupgrade auf das schönste Zimmer bekommen, weil das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war - super! So wird der Urlaub erst so richtig toll. Bei der Ankunft empfing man uns sehr freundlich und nahezu jeder Wunsch wurde uns von den Augen abgelesen. Darf es noch etwas zu trinken sein? Wann mögen Sie Ihr Dinner haben? Das gesamte Personal hat sich nur um unsgekümmert - was für ein toller Service. So konnten wir jeden Abend mit dem Koch individuell unser Menü abstimmen (was er dann sehr lecker und optisch ansprechend zubereitet hat), und auch sonst ist man stets sehr bemüht gewesen, uns wirklich einen tollen Aufenthalt zu bieten. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und sehr angenehm eingerichtet. Der Blick aufs Meer war traumhaft! Die gesamte Anlage war sehr gepflegt und auch der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt. Die Lage ist sehr gut gewesen. Ein eigener Zugang zum Strand, wo man direkt mit surfen beginnen konnte. Ausruhen und sonnen konnte man auf den hoteleigenen Liegen, die jeden Tag vom Personal vorbereitet wurden. Außerdem konnte man in Kooperation mit dem benachbarten Spa-Hotel Wellnessbehandlungen buchen und diese wurden ganz unkompliziert dann vereinbart - super! Fazit: Würden wir wieder hierher kommen? Definitiv JA! War das Personal freundlich? JA, SEHR! War das Essen gut: SUPER JA! Dieses Hotel kann man auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen!
