"Nice hotel for the money you spend. Great Location"
When I arrived, the room was not ready, and it was reasonable becouse I reached at noon. At 15:00 they told me that the room was ready. There was nobody to help with the baggage, and my room was in the 1st floor. I have back pain and it was a little bit difficult to me to pick my baggage with no elevator. The room was nice, very clean, very comfortable.
We stayed for 2 whole nights and the staff never came to clean our room. When we asked for more towels at the front desk we were told that there were not any and that we would get them in awhile. Overall the stay was fine it just seemed us if no one cares that we were even staying there.
I stayed here as I participated in the Rock n Roll Half Marathon. Upon arrival, I called for the free shuttle service as directed. The hotel representative told me to wait in the wrong area initially. After multiple phone calls to the hotel back and forth I was finally picked up. The next day, I had another hiccup with being picked up. I waited an hour before I was actually picked up. I was not in any hidden or obstructed area, and believe me, I was on the look-out for the shuttle. I called, and called again letting them know I was not picked up. The driver assumed the people he was picking up was me, but they were not. Once I was finally picked up, the driver himself said he did see me waiting as he made multiple trips picking up other people. I think shuttle drivers should be able to call people if they cannot find them, and/or really ensure they are picking up the people that did make the request instead of all this middle man business with the front desk. At least the rooms were nice, clean and continental breakfast was provided with eggs, toast, cereal and WAFFLES. Omg, I loved their waffles. The waffle mix was pre-made, and all you do is simply pour it into the waffle maker. I've never made waffles before, and I was having a lot fun with that. Their waffle maker stamped The Red Lion logo onto waffles, and I don't know why I got a kick out of that too. Other than the problems with being picked up, I had a great stay at The Red Lion. I would recommend staying here.
We liked the room which also gave us a nice sitting area with a 2nd TV. The one concern we had was the bathroom toilet. It needs to be replaced with a more efficient one. We had to hold the handle down on this old model for a long length of time and then it may not flush completely. Yes, we will stay at this hotel on our next visit.
