It was a lovely stay! The host, Chris, was a really kind and frendly guy and the breakfast he made for us was amazing. Unfortunately it was rainy when we visited the place, but the (frozen) lake view was beautiful. The room itself was also well decorated with Peruvian stuff. I wish I can come back here in summer :)

The property manager was nice, he speaks various languages. When we arrived, he wasn't there and the house was picked so we had to wait until 7pm. Other than that, it is a beautiful and welcoming place!

Lake-front B&B near Parc National Mauricie
The B&B hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing lots of good tips on what to visit. The room was in excellent condition, with nice furnishings and a view over the lake (we saw a spectacular thunderstorm over the water one night). Breakfast is home made, with lots of fruit, yogurt, crepes, coffee, juice and more. Very nice all round.

Serene little get-away near Mauricie National Park
Note: this is not a corporate hotel, but a bed & breakfast style accomodation. We stayed in the economy room, which had a lovely view of the lake. It is quite small, but two walls are basically all windows, so it feels more spacious. The room itself had a cute South American themed decor, and a very comfortable bed. The hosts, Christian and Jeanne are very welcoming, and speak both French and English. You have the option of renting canoes or other outdoor equipment on site for a very affordable rate. We paid an extra few dollars for the breakfast, which was well worth the money! We enjoyed homemade crepes, and our choice of beverages. Jeanne gave us lots of information about things to do in the area, as well as La Mauricie National Park maps and tips. I recommend Gîte du lac à la tortue for a relaxing and quiet stay.
