It was ok and good but can be more better if some customer services can be improved. Especially during night time if they have their better awake staff for night shift to resolve the needs of customers. I did not found my blanket on first night and for this reason I go to customer service desk to see the receptionist, he was sleeping. I slept without blanket for my first night stay. Also for one day their kitchen sink water was not working and plates etc stuff was washed by the customers/guests in their laundry area which was kind of dirty. Their one staff was really rude and kind of mad when I complained about my concern of not getting blanket for the first night, and he literally ask me in front of other guests that “ Why are you still here, manager should have talk to you and send you out of hostel”. I felt kind of embarrassed and scary for this situation and I did not complain about this situation during my stay. Anyway I am back home now and all is good. Just want to add here it was not Costa Rican employee, I mean he was from other country there. Except that all other people were good, helpful and friendly. Also all other services were good.
Was an excellent stay here the staff was friendly and helpful. Also a great free breakfast and it really felt like a great atmosphere met a lot of interesting and fun people. Stayed there for 9 days in Feb 2016. Will be returning in May for 2 or 3 weeks.

Good, clean place to stay
The TripOn is a clean, and comfortable place to be. I stayed there for a week. Breakfast is included, with tons of fresh fruit.
I came to San Jose to see friends. One of the things they pointed out was that TripOn was in one of the safest areas of the city. San Jose has places where walking around at night isn't always wise. You can walk to restaurants and shops near TripOn both day and evening.
The ad shows people socializing. That's pretty much true. Most guests spoke English to some degree, while I was there and I speak a little Spanish. So, there was conversation with just about everyone. And there is a mix. There were a Swede, several Australians, and guests from all over Latin and North America.
