Cozy cabin with views of Cave Run Lake-2 miles from Zilpo beach

Cave Run Lake Hideaway is your getaway! One of the only cabins you'll find with a breathtaking view of Cave Run Lake! Enjoy the beautiful views from the screened in porch or while enjoying the tranquility of the hot tub. This secluded cabin, on its own private road, is surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest and is only minutes from one of two access points to the lake, Zilpo Campground, or Leatherwood boat ramp.

The newly renovated cabin has two fully stocked kitchens with everything you would need including pots and pans, crock pots, air fryers, indoor grills, outdoor gas and charcoal grills (briquettes and lighter fluid are not included), blenders, and coffee makers (one pod coffee maker and one drip coffee maker, pods and coffee are provided).

There is a whole separate living area in the walk-out basement which includes one of the kitchens, a private bedroom, a game room with pool table and dart board, a half bath, and an outdoor shower.

The main floor of the cabin has a spacious screened in porch with a futon, dinner table, and ample seating for the whole crew while you take in the view. Just off the screened in porch is the new hot tub!

The main floor kitchen has been updated with granite counter tops and new appliances. The open floor plan boasts beautiful views to the outdoors and is open to the two loft areas upstairs that are connected by a swinging bridge!

The property also provides ample space for parking and turning around your boats and jet skis.

Cave Run Lake was voted one of the best lakes you've never heard of in 2022 by Lonely Planet and it's right at your back door when you visit our cabin. We promise you won't be disappointed in your stay and the experience nature brings when you stay at Cave Run Lake Hideaway.

Please note there is no smoking of any kind allowed in the cabin or on the covered porch. Failure to abide by the no smoking guideline is automatic forfeiture of your full deposit. Also please note, firewood for the firepit is not provided.

Such a Beautiful property

A group of women and I go away for a silent retreat twice a year. This is our 3rd time doing it and our first time at Cave Run Hideaway. I don’t think we will stay anywhere else after our stay here. It is incredibly secluded overlooking cave run lake. So quiet and beautiful. The cabin is so homey and the attention to the decorative detail was wonderful. The beds and pillows were incredible comfortable and the place was stocked with everything needed and so clean! We will DEFINITELY be back.

Great place, remote, country setting, relaxing, beautiful view. Nice trail... hot tub, two kitchens, loft with swinging bridge ( children especially loved this. Pool table, darts and fire pit.... wonderful. Will plan trip back in autumn when trees change.

Beautiful and secluded

This property is fairly new. Its is super clean, very roomy and has plenty of entertainment. My adult children had a lot of fun in the space and there was a perfect spot for our newly parented couple to stay in the lower level where there is a small kitchenette and and half bath. We will definitely be returning!

2023 Thanksgiving Get-away

This property is gorgeous and secluded from the busy city life. The owners truly thought of everything you would need. Hands down the nicest cabin we’ve stayed in. Be prepared for your stay. The closest store is 40 minutes away and there is only 1 shower but absolutely worth it!

Flawless property!

From the moment we arrived it was evident that the owners missed no details in cleaning, maintaining and preparing the property! The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out from the furniture and decor to the breathtaking views. The kids loved the swinging bridge to their bedroom loft as well as evenings playing games on the screened in porch. This is definitely on our list of places to visit again!

Gorgeous home overlooking a lake!

It was an absolute delight to stay at Connie's place in Daniel Boone National Forest. Nestled in the quiet woods and overlooking a lake, the house was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. We enjoyed a hike directly from the property, endless time in the hot tub, and cooking up/eating home cooked meals in the spacious downstairs. The swinging bridge in the loft was so cool and such a sweet way to reconnect with our inner child selves. Thank you for an amazing stay, Connie!

The BEST!

We were blown away at the property! Pictures do not even do it justice. It has so much room! We had 10 adults stay and easily fit. The view is stunning, so many beautiful places to sit outdoors and enjoy it. Fully stocked kitchens, so many appliances to use, very comfortable beds and amazing bedding. Best of all, it was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed! We are local but enjoy a few weekends a year with friends and we will definitely be booking more weekends in the future! Our new favorite spot!

Perfect Hideaway!

This was the perfect hideaway! We came for our daughter’s Morehead graduation! We had several people stay and more visit throughout the weekend! There was ample space, tons of outdoor seating, and it was perfect for what we needed! I would say the screened in porch is the STAR of this cabin! We spent most of our time there! Check-in was a breeze and we got to meet Kim when we pulled up as she was just finishing some work at the cabin! What a nice lady she is! I loved how remote the cabin was - you can forget about everything and just enjoy yourself!!! But you aren’t too far away from locals and stores. We will definitely stay here again!
