Älteres Gebäude mit Flair, gute Lage dicht am Meer. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war winzig, nach einem Upgrade hatten wir zwei Zimmer, ebenfalls jeweils sehr klein. Die Klimaanlage wird erst im Sommer aktiviert. 28 Grad reichten dafür nicht aus. Wir mussten einen Tag eher abreisen, dieser wurde sehr kulant storniert.

Reliable tourist hotel with great location

Castiglioncello is a charming town on the coast of Toscana. It's a real town with life a year round, not just a summer town that wakes up for a short summer season. This used to be a favorite place for the famous and beautiful people in the 1950's and 60's. Hotel Leopoldo is wonderfully located with the beach close by and by lovely winding streets in the calm shadow of great pine trees. Well maintained villas and apartment houses with gardens around. The hotel service is very friendly, the rooms are of comfortable tourist hotel standard. Famous, great restaurants are just a few minutes walk away.

Agréable petit hôtel proche de la plage. S'apparente plus à un hôtel de type familial un peu désuet. Les chambres sont plutôt petites sans table pour pouvoir y travailler correctement. L'insonorisation n'est pas très performante mais le signal wifi est excellent. Le petit déjeuner est très limité avec peu de produits frais.

Great staff but expensive for a 3star

For a 3star hotel, it was quite expensive but I think it might be the area. Heard that many hotels in the area didn't have AC so lucky for us there was AC in the room. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and even let us borrow a travel adapter. Rooms were clean but did wake up with a number of bites of my legs that weren't there before i went to bed. Hotel had wifi and Breakfast was very limited, although it did last for much longer (around 11pm). Location was great! Right by the beach, train station, shops and restaurants

Gut mir Einschränkungen

Wir waren 8 Nächte im Leopoldo im kleinen Küstenörtchen Castiglioncello. Direkt beim Ankommen fiel das Parkplatzproblem auf: Das Hotel hat zwar einen eigenen Parkplatz und öffentliche Parkplätze, die durch die beim Ankommen ausgehändigte Ausnahmeerlaubnis zum Parken unseres PKW berechtigt, allerdings ist die Einfahrt zum Hotel-eigenen Parkplatz supereng und für unseren Ford Focus nicht befahrbar, die öffentlichen Parkplätze waren ab 20 Uhr oft direkt an die Touristen vergeben. Sowohl Hotel als auch Zimmer waren sehr sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Sehr gute Betten, exzellente Klimaanlage, gutes Badezimmer. Das Frühstücksangebot war für den geringen Aufpreis okay, die enthaltenen Kaffeespezialitäten waren absolut erstklassig. Fußläufig ist man in 2 Minuten mit den Füßen im Wasser, in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es dutzende Restaurants, Cafes, Eisdielen u.ä.. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist etwa 1 km vom Hotel entfernt, eine Apotheke 0,8 km. Ein großes Einkaufscenter in Rosignano Solvay erreicht man in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr kommunikativ, empfahl uns die besten Strände und Freizeit-Möglichkeiten sowie Ausflugsziele.
