The beaches are amazing. I really liked that there is not one condo building or Hotel littering the beautiful beaches. This house was perfect, it was on a quiet cul de sac, safe for the kiddos. We walked to the beach. I watched gorgeous sunrises over the water right from my bed. Many different trails and beaches and so close.Definitely will visit the area and stay in this VRBO again.
We came here because of fewer crowds and a more laid back feel. The views of the bay were fantastic. It was an easy walk to the beach and the Billy Rush recreation area with the Olympic pool. The open living area accommodated the six of us easily. A nice deck off the kitchen was nice in the mornings and evenings with a view of the sunrise and the full moon. Kitchen was only adequately stocked. No storage containers or cookie sheets. Needed more towel rods in bathrooms.
However, we would definitely come again.
The house was well described in the listing, very clean, well appointed, and the beds in the master and queen slept amazingly!! Check-in was a breeze. Check-out was way easier than usual for VRBO properties. Views were amazing all day long. We did have an issue with air and they sent out a technician that day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fixed then but as soon as I let them know they sent the technician back out and he fixed it. The technician was nice and polite and tried to be as non-intrusive as possible. We enjoyed our time and loved the place and home!
Excellent property in very good condition. Clean and well appointed. Convenient location. Unobstructed bay view. Just a couple of blocks to the beach - easy walk or bike ride. Less that a mile to the State Park that has tons of beautiful high dunes.
There are just a few minor issues that led to 4 stars, instead of 5:
1) Two different wifi passwords were provided (one in an email, the other in the website check-in instructions). Neither of these was correct. The 2nd one just had two numbers transposed. We called the evening we arrived and someone came out early the next morning and provided the correct password (note that the incorrect password was also provided over the phone). Not a huge deal, but this should easily be resolved - details are important.
2) The kitchen sink disposal has a tendency to clog. The first clog was resolved during the same service call to fix the wifi. It clogged a 2nd time, but I was able to resolve myself.
3) There is a water facility near the property that has a very low background hum. It is only noticeable when out on the side deck. It can not be heard inside at all. Plus, I'm a bit sensitive to these sounds, so probably not a big deal for most people.
Still overall, it was a delightful stay and we would stay here again.
We had a great stay at this vacation property! The rental company 360 Blue, Natural Retreats was easy to talk to and took care of questions right away, a replacement hose, and a full propane tank our first day (Sunday). We loved the house and the equipment rental voucher. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay. Rooms were very comfortable. Loved grilling fresh fish out on deck. Beautiful sunsets. Went everyday to beach at state park maybe 1/4 mile from house.
Beautiful house, clean, nice furniture, fully equipped kitchen - excellent! Nice view on the bay, location is good, bay access right across the street, beach access good 5min walk. Dogs allowed on beach.
We thoroughly loved our stay at this home. It's directly across from the bay, with easy access for kayaking. It's a 5-minute walk from the ocean side and a 10-minute bike ride to the state park. It's spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.
We spent a week at the Emerald Bay Cabin. It was wonderful. Tucked back on a quiet street across from the bay and within walking distance to the beach. The home was nicely furnished with most of the basics you would need for a stay. Great little home away from home. Perfect for our family of 5 (two parents, three kiddos).
Good location but you aren’t directly on the Bay. Beds were very comfortable and loved that some rental gear was included. We loved being able to ride bikes. Doggy gates at stairs were greatly appreciated!
We’ve stayed in 10 different places on the cape and this was the best yet!! Not a cookie cutter beach house but had cozy rustic yet nice character. Beautiful views of both sunrise and sunsets, easy 5 minute walk to the beach and the bay and boardwalk are literally across the road. Having an open yard was a plus because it kept down the “No-Seeums”. Super comfortable beds and very clean. Just a great place!
The house was fantastic and perfect for our party of six. We did have a very minor hiccup which was handled immediately by the management team. It was incredibly convenient to have bicycle delivery and being given a $250 credit to go towards your rental items.
This is a beautiful property, with a chalet/cabin feel. It was perfect to be able to walk across the road to St. Joseph Bay, put our kayaks in, and snorkel for scallops. The breeze is wonderful when sitting underneath the house. Great to dry off after using the outdoor shower. Next door neighbor (a year-round resident) was quite friendly and a pleasure to speak with. Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, this was the perfect mix of beauty and relaxation. We will rent this property again!
Great location with easy access to beach. Not a lot of restaurants without needing to drive 20-30 minutes. Best to bring your own food. Clean and nice home, would highly recommend. Nice view of the bay, no ocean view.
Loved the house and the checking process was a breeze. Everything was immaculate and functioning perfect. The location was great for us to play on the beach and the bay! Highly recommended.
Emerald Bay cabin is great. It is on a sleepy little cul de sac and just the right size for a small family. We had a great time with only minor issues related to the house.
This place was easily the best rental we’ve ever stayed in :D
Fantastic views, adorable house, the most relaxing neighborhood, bikes delivered and picked up, such a short walk to the beach... it was a wonderful experience!
Great time even though there was no seafood. Really nice place to relax.

Minor inconveniences but overall good
We have just returned from a family vacation at Emerald Bay cabin. We had a rather large group of 8 and the house was very comfortable for us. The location is nice, only a few blocks from the public beach access, but far enough to drive if you have a lot of gear. The place was very clean and nice looking inside, even better than what I expected from the photos. We loved the open floor plan and the large dining table. There was enough seating for everyone in the house. The beds and linens were of impressive quality and extremely comfortable. The kitchen had enough cooking utensils and whatnot, but did not have basics like pepper, olive oil/cooking spray, or butter (it did have salt). The outdoor shower was amazing, and we loved enjoying the covered outdoor area under the house (except the mosquitoes here are literal maniacs so don’t forget bug spray!!!). There were plenty of games and books for entertainment, but the TV remote was only working intermittently, even with new batteries. It seemed to be a problem with the remote itself, and was extremely frustrating, making it nearly impossible to change the channel. Also, someone has put parental controls on the cable service and anything that carried a rating at all, even G, was blocked. The property manager did his best but did not know the code to remove the controls. We could not even watch Finding Nemo. Also, the grill did not work (lighter was broken, even with a new battery) and it looked as if it had not been cleaned it quite some time. This was addressed by the property manager and a reasonable solution was given with a lighter and more propane. Immediately prior to our arrival, there was a large storm that unfortunately knocked out the power so we arrived to some inconveniences with the TV, internet and oven needing to be reset. That was no problem, but it also unfortunately knocked out the control system for the hot water heater. The property manager was extremely responsive to all of these issues and did his best, but we still had to go one night without any hot water which was kind of rough. We were initially promised some free activities like fishing and horseback riding, but no further mention of this was made. Despite these inconveniences, we were still able to enjoy our stay and had a great time. I appreciated the quick responses to our maintenance requests. I would definitely consider staying here again, but would just be sure to check that everything is in good working order upon arrival.
Beautiful, clean, affordable little beach house. We would absolutely stay here again. There is beach access across the street (a short 5 min walk). I recommend taking advantage of the their beach gear offer, you will want the beach cart for sure. The bay access is directly in front of the property.
House had minimal provisions, so plan accordingly. Included was a roll of paper towels, small dish soap, two packets of dishwasher soap, small bottle of laundry detergent, travel size frantic softener sheets. Travel toiletries and a roll of tp in each bathroom. Things we needed: trash bags, napkins, salt/pepper, cooking spray.
Maintenance installed an outdoor shower during our stay, so that’s there now. Tv is equipped with ROKU.
You will LOVE it here. A little slice of heaven. Property team is very attentive and made sure we were taken care of.
