We booked a family room for the 2 of us: 1 master bedroom with kingsize bed, to be separated from the living room by a sliding wall, 1 bedroom with 2 beds at different levels with extra shower and toilet). Ample terrace space, 2 AC, kitchen (sink, MWave oven, fridge and freezer, plates and cutlery). However, no safe, the telephone at the master bed was not working, no ironing material. Ironing and safe were delivered upon request. Telephone was not repaired during stay of 5 days!
As we did not fancy an extra day in BKK, we ordered and extra day in the same room. This was however cheaper through expedia than through the check inn desk (also the case in other hotels). So, we booked through expedia. However, somehow the front desk did not know about that and asked us when we would leave the room the next day... Then got upto to 3 reminders to leave the room by the check out time while we were staying an extra day.... This is the problem by the management, not by the people who were phoning. Clearly, the training of the staff is BELOW normal measures.
Concerning the interior design of the family room: everything was nice, colours and shape and size of the furniture; Just the inclination of the shower/toilet floor has to be adapted. A small, but important detail. Normally a 'no no' in renting rooms/apartments to third parties.
Special compliments to the girl who spoke fluent Russian (i am from Belgium) and English and Thai who was running both front and check in desk!
Pros: breakfast, friendliness of bfast staff, size and cleanliness of the room.
Cons: check in by non competent people (due to insufficient training). Amenities in the family room (lack of safe, iron material, non functional phone).
Location: Sanctuary of truth is close. other sight seeings are far from this hotel.
