Very small but on the newer side still. Needs more storage inside for belongings. No tv or wifi or typical hotel amenities unfortunately. Cleanliness was ok only noticeable issue was provided coffee cups were not clean upon arrival. Ok stay for a night or two at the very most. Needs a bit work still to get up to speed.

The location is amazing, lots to do for kids. The play area was perfect, my son really enjoyed it. The lake was also great for swimming. The room is a bit small, but clean and comfortable. The room also included a mini fridge and coffee maker, which was a welcome surprise.

Pretty setting and very clean
Payne Lake is very picturesque and a reasonable driving distance to Waterton townsite and the US border crossing. The unit we stayed in was very small and only had room for sleeping or using the bathroom, but the common room right next door was well set up for reading or playing games and there was a nice deck with a great overview of the lake. The room was very tidy, the bed was comfortable and the shower had fantastic water pressure with lots of hot water. The hosts were very accommodating, easy to communicate with and try to make sure your stay is comfortable. There’s a ton of outdoor activities and some really cool playground equipment. It’s a great place for a family, but the campground as a whole was very quiet and peaceful. My only complaint is that we could hear everything the guests staying in the room above us were doing. Overall, it was a really nice alternative to staying in Waterton and we’d definitely stay again.
