Pete was a great host....house was beautiful and very clean. Kids loved it.....and loved the cat who came to 'check out' who was staying there...lolThanks for allowing us to stay in your little piece of paradise.
Great place to stay about 15 mins north of Mount Barker. Clean, cute accommodation - perfect for our one night stay exploring the local wineries. Friendly dog and cat onsite.
The accommodation was nicely decorated and the host ensured the rooms were warm when we arrived. Each bed has an electric blanket. AllAmenities were in good condition. Very clean and comfortable.
Beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Great attention to detail and nice extras supplied such as breakfast cereal packets, milk, yoghurt, tea and coffee pods. The shower was modern and a heated towel rack was provided too. The electric blankets kept us warm during the nights. Lots of entertainment options provided. Highly recommended!
Very clean, well set-up inside. Comfortable bed. Lovely area.
Only thing we were not told was it was attached to other units, one was the owners and it had an adjoining door in the living room.
Pete's retreat allows you to experience silence at night. It was wonderful to wake to the sounds of the cows and sheep.
The property was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and clean. It may look like a shed from the outside but as you cross the threshold of a beautifully hand crafted door by Pete you are transported into another world.
Good location. The host was very pleasant, helpful and provided information on local wineries and distillery. Large house area and big kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed having my own room rather than sharing. Bathroom appeared newly constructed and could have been in a 5 star hotel. Outside was very barren as there had not been rain for some months and in the yard was very much of a working property.
Nice spot for an overnight. Very quiet and relaxing. Lost electricity overnight due to severe storm but Peter managed to give us warm showers by running a generator.
We had an amazing experience staying at this place in Mount Barker!
Pete is amazing! His wife and himself keep this place very clean and cozy.
It has got everything you may need - a spacious living room, two beautiful bedrooms, a stylish bathroom with shower and a well equipped kitchen!
The location is good as well, it is sitting in a quiet spot - not too far from Mount Barker (about 20-25 mins), and quite close to the Stirling Range National Park and to the Porongurup Tourist National Park (about 45-50 mins).
Will definitely recommend this stay to our friends and will come there again!
Friendly hosts, beautifully restored roomy place, sparkling clean, comfy bed, nice selection of food for brekky. Very peaceful, feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but only short drive to Mt Barker.
