The hotel was a little tired. The sheets also were old and scratchy. I found hair in the shower and my bed that weren't mine on the first night.

Just tucked in from Chapel Street makes it a prefect location. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. It’s always a lovely experience staying at the Cullen.

I couldn’t wait to write this review. We visited an old pal who is doing it tough. He ‘Bedder’ get well 😉. Our last thought was where we would stay. First and closest place was the Cullen Prahran. I had no idea what it was until we arrived. From the start I‘ll fess up I love art. The Cullen is saturated with it, Adam Cullen (RIP). We were given a studio room it was huge, comfortable and beautiful. A meal at Dad Vietnamese restaurant and a great nights sleep and a topped off just what we needed after a long day. I’ll find excuses to visit Melbourne again just for that reason and Prahran Market so close so easy.

The hotel has a lot of potential however a few things let the place down. Our room showed signs of wear and tear. It would have been nice to know that there was no room service or onsite restaurant prior to our booking, as we have a child we had to leave the hotel everytime for meals.

Comfy bed and loved the fact that the kitchen had a stove, microwave and decent sink! The guest laundry was also a great thing to have access to. The art and decor was bold yet tasteful and the bathroom products were divine :)

Great stay in Prahran

Great hotel in central location. Everything feels like it’s at your doorstep. Bathroom is frosted class so if you’re shy with sound or shadows with your friends or partners, this might be a consideration.

Loved our stay at The Cullen. We stayed in a suite with 2 x ensuited curtained king bedrooms. Functional, stylish kitchen, lovely living space complete with fireplace and signature artworks. Highly recommend.

This property is amazing. The facilities and cleanliness were top tier. The area is relatively loud with cars going down Chapel, but quiet until the morning more so than not. Will be coming back when we have to stay in Prahan.

I’ve often stayed here, over the years it’s clear that a lot of the decor either hasn’t been updated or properly maintained. The staff are fantastic, that’s pretty much the saving grace along with the location of the hotel itself. A good freshen up in the rooms will make this place great option to stay in again.

Loved the quirky art filled spaces, the room was a very good size, with a small sofa so somewhere to sit other than bed or desk chair. With the amazing Prahran markets over the road, as well a selection of restaurants and the wonderful Oltre cafe with wonderful coffee and ambience. Will be back. 10/10

This place is terrible. One of the worse stays I've ever had at a so called premium hotel. The staff aren't helpful, it's falling apart, nothing works and it's dirty. Go to the Como!

We love this area in Prahran. First time in this hotel but will definitely rebook. Room was surprisingly large, bed superbly comfortable. Best of all however were the staff. Friendly, helpful and very accomodating; all of them! I had a walking stick, and as I got out of the car to take my bag to the room, two women rushed to help, and escort me to the room. I thought they were other guests; turned out they were the hotel’s Accountants. That’s genuine service.

I had stayed at the Cullen about 4 years ago and found the general condition of the property and facilities had deteriorated a lot since then. In particular the gym had broken and missing equipment and was clearly not cleaned daily. The general cleanliness of the rooms was sub standard. Staff were helpful and friendly and the beds very comfortable.

Customer service was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for nicer, happier, helpful front office staff. The only complaint we had was that the pillows were far too soft to be comfortable and we didn’t know that we had to request for room to be serviced. Oh and room 309’s frosted glass bathroom walls seem to have been installed back to front so there is little privacy in the bathroom which is awkward when sharing with a teenage son.
