Good for a night

Overall not a terrible place for a night. The room however had a odor of old smoke or something that was not pleasant at all. The room needed some maintenance as the floors were lifting and some of the shower elements needed to be replaced or deep cleaned. If you need some where to crash for the night this is fine.

The room was dirty. There was dust on the counters and refrigerator. There were burn marks on the blankets that they tried to hide by flipping them upside down. They only had one poor girl working almost continuously the whole weekend. They gave us only 1 key for 2 people which continually deactivated. They did not have cable or WiFi service during our stay. I believe they have residents that live at the hotel- There was a party until around midnight or later. The people below our room lit a small campfire right outside our door, sang songs, danced, and carried on all night long. The bathroom is tiny- Barely enough room to stand having only a toilet with a loose seat, a simple sink, and shower with a broken shower head. The smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling by wires just above the bed. When I brought these issues to the employee at the desk, she said she would issue a full refund for our stay, but then couldn’t because we booked with Expedia. She asked me to call Expedia and give them her personal phone number so she could explain to give me the refund. The girl that was working was nice enough, but absolutely everything else about the experience was a shudder-inducing catastrophe. I have never imagined such an awful experience. Avoid at all costs. You’d be more comfortable and safe sleeping in your car.

No llegamos a hacer el Check in. Nos atendieron en la recepcion con luces apagadas diciendo que el hotel habia quebrado y que les estaban cortando los servicios de a poco. El dia que debiamos ingresar habian cortado el cable y la internet, y nos adelntaron que no sabian hasta cuando tendrian agua y energia! Chateamos con Expedia y no nos solucionaron el inconveniente. Tuvimos que buscar hotel por nuestra cuenta, aun no se si nos cancelaron la reserva sin costo o nos hicieron algun cargo!? 😡😡

I was very disappointed with this stay. Had to wait 30 min to get into the building to check in because police were looking for someone on the property, the person who had the room prior to me had been smoking drugs in the room. There was no breakfast at all and property was unsafe.

The accommodation was dirty and the first room i was assigned had dirty sheets and dead bugs on the floor. The second room was cleaner but there qas no shower curtain and the stove was filthy beyond measure. See picture below.

NOT Recommend this hotel.

No towels. We had to ask front staff to get towels. towels were so thin and old grey like dust cloth. No tissue papers. Staff told me no more supply ordered because this hotel is going to resold soon. No hungers. Only one cup and a plate in a kitchen. No breakfast though it states. No coffee in a lobby. Floor is sticky. No staff during check out time.

We were stuck in traffic and arrived late- we called the 3 numbers listed on the board. They closed at 11 and we showed up at 11:30. In none of their communications for our upcoming trip did it tell us they close at 11.One person hung up on us - no help! I’ll be reporting this. They were Terrible!!!

Bedding is covered in long black hair and what appears to be pubic hair, floors are all sticky, blood on the ceiling, no towels and tv doesnt work

Dirty, one towel that's it. Waited over 20 minutes to even get in lobby as no one was there and door was locked. Front desk person was incomprehensible. Overcharged $150 for incidentals, still waiting on $50 being refunded almost a week later. AVOID

I reserved a two king bed room few weeks in advance. The room was not avalilable when I and my family arrived at October 8. We claimed to a supervisor and they provided a one king bed with a couch. Once I got the room (the only available) we noticed that the room entrance was dirty with cigarrettes butts, the doors lock was broken, the toilet was stained, the couch as well, the blankets appeared to have cigarrettes burns, there were other rooms making noises with loud music and a sensation of an unsafe stay. They pretended to charge the original fee in the reservation when they offerred only one king bed and a dirty room.

I don't really get what kind of place this is. Hawthorn Suites used to be nice. This is some kind of weird, degraded flop house. Everything dirty, pubic hair in the sheets, kitchen greasy. Will never stay there again.

Probably better options

Not the best location. Property looks like old 2 story walk up efficiency apartments. It appears that some of the units have full time residents. Rooms are dated and not very well decorated, bed was a mattress on a platform and not very comfortable. Entertainment/tv was small and old as well. Entrance and exit roadway was frequently impassible since it shares drive up lanes for both a Starbucks and a Popeyes.

Dirty and in disrepair

The room was extremely dirty. The walls had fingerprints and scuff marks. The kitchen and food splatter on the walls still. It smelled of cigarette smoke. There were no towels in the room or sheets for the pull out bed. There wasn't a trash can that we could find. The headboard was broken and a picture was obviously missing from the wall. The one dresser still had prior occupants clothes in it. It felt like someone had lived in that room for an extended period of time and was never cleaned after they left.

The pictures are immensely deceiving. The staff were unprofessional. You can tell they mean well but the place is too far gone. Stomping can be heard from rooms above. The floor has not been cleaned- swept or vacuumed- for months. They claim to be a no smoking hotel but the minute you walk in, it smells like a thick fog of smoke. The bed was not neatly and tightly made. The actual infrastructure is old and giving out. It’s not nice at all.
