"Great hotel"
While this hotel is not a quaint little hotel, being a highrise, it was a great place to stay. It is right on the beach and a short walk to the middle of town. The service is exellent, the staff friendly and the food good. I would go back.

"First Class Service in a very pleasant location"
Ideally located close to the beach, the promenade, and the Old Town this hotel proved to be excellent value for a weeks break in mid January. The room with sea view was very comfortable, routinely serviced and well furnished with good sized twin beds. As with other reviews the breakfast was excellent. The two pools and the gym make for plenty of recreational opportunity if time permits and the staff were exemplary. We were treated to a complimentary bottle of fizz to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel is exceptional value for money.

"Lovely hotel, near the beach and a promenade"
Superb hotel in every respect - friendly staff, nice restaurant for evening dining and garden room for breakfast. Adjacent "Cappucino" snack bar on sea front which served food and drinks at any time. High quality rooms and cleanliness.

"Nice hotel on the beach"
Car parking was a little chaotic on arrival. We had to park up a side street. When we checked in we were not advised of the underground parking for 6 euros a night. We had a lovely room with beautiful views from the balcony onto the beach. The room was very spacious and clean. We used the spa on both days of our stay and thought it was a very good spa. We were not particularly impressed with the food and so chose to eat out in Estepona for our evening meals. The breakfast in the hotel was better on the monday morning as there were less people, hence more options. As a coffee drinker, the coffee at breakfast was awful. We had booked for 2 nights and our room key expired after our first day. We were not impressed with the reception staff who did not even apologise but just updated our key. Overall a really nice hotel, great location, parking wasn't great, food wasn't great and reception staff were OK, everything else was really enjoyable.

"Good Value All Inclusive Hotel"
Fully enjoyed our 3 week stay at the Belplaya. Food is very good for price paid. Staff were excellent in all areas of the hotel. Well located right on the beach about a 20 minute walk from the town centre. We paid a little extra for a sea view room on this, our second trip, and this was well worth it for the views and a sunny balcony. Buses and trains both stop locally. Main criticisms would be the lack of sound insulation in the rooms, the bar area being excessively warm in the evening, (although this didn't seem to bother most people as it was often impossible to get a table for the entertainment after late sitting dining), and the poor choice of English Speaking TV (news, music and the Horror Channel). Excellent German/Irish Bar across the street showing live football and live entertainment 2-3 times per week if you need a change. It would have been a big plus if the outdoor pool had been heated, as the winter weather was excellent and the water looked most inviting but was very cold. There is a heated indoor pool, but this is quite small and a bit claustrophobic. As noted below it seemed odd that the hot drinks machines were turned off at night and didn't get opened up until after breakfast. Not helpful for early risers as there are no in-room drinks facilities. Having made several proposals for improvement I should conclude by saying that in spite of all the niggles the Belplaya is good value and many couples return year after year.

"Good all round"
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, room spotless, big comfy proper double bed, lovely partial sea view from decent size balcony. One slight criticism is food got a bit repetative and the cooked breakfast ingredients could have been better quality.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean in all areas. Food , good, plenty of choices and fresh and tasty. Good size bathroom and drawer and wardrobe space. Nice to have kettle and tea and coffee in room. Nice to see uk tv. We had a corner room over looking the beachfront, would ask for room over looking pool as that is where you get more sun a better view.
