"The Brown House"...Perfect for all things Laramie and beyond

The Brown House is located a short distance to the U.W. campus and the local downtown scene. It is also within walking distance of LaPrele park...the park is Laramie's largest with playground equipment, a disc golf course and Huck Finn fishing pond. The house was recently updated to include new flooring, open space and 4 large screen TV's, but still maintains the old school charm. The entire upstairs living area is all yours, along with a spacious back yard that includes a BBQ grill, picnic table, and hot tub, corn hole. The downstairs is occupied by one of the owners when not out of town working. The quiet and safe neighborhood are perfect for a weekend in Laramie... Whether it is to enjoy weekend games, mountain sports, graduations or even Cheyenne Frontier Days. The house sleeps seven...any more than that will require permission and rate adjustments.

My family and I loved staying at the Brown House. This house has so much charm. The owners have thought of everything. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Laramie.

Great place!

We stayed at the Brown House while visiting our daughter, who is a grad student at UW. We had 6 people, my husband, myself and 4 young adults. We really enjoyed the roomy home, which was spotless and well stocked.

Comfort on the prairie

We loved our stay at the Brown House! Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood away from the campus but close enough for activities there. Easy access and wonderful owners. The home was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed for a wonderful weekend. We will be back!!

We had a great week exploring Laramie and the surrounding area and The Brown House was the perfect place for the 6 of us (including a 3 & 8 yo). A lot of little touches made it really feel like home. Glenna is a great host and very responsive. We had some trouble with the digital lock our second day and she was there in less than 30 minutes from my sending her a text to check it out and she had it replaced within the next hour. We will definitely stay there again if we are back in Laramie.

Great place in Laramie

We stayed in Laramie for the weekend for a wedding. Great property, cozy and clean house. Beds were comfortable. We had a little barbecue with some other members of our family when we arrived. A perfect experience! Thank you!

Very welcoming

Great property! Very clean and lots of little goodies like cheese and snacks on arrival. Beds were comfortable and decor was lovely. Nice quiet part of town. Best part was all the extras like ziplocks, ketchup etc which meant we didn’t need to bring a whole bunch or run to the store the first day.

Wedding retreat

Great property that met our every need. Out for a destination wedding and nice space to stay. Utilized the spacious area for the bridesmaids to hang out and get their hair done. Had some other family in town that we were able to host “within reason” for supper. Would recommend to any family traveling for the area!! Thanks Glenna and James!!!

UW first game of the season 2023

Beautiful, clean house with a great backyard. We enjoyed making this our home base. Enjoyed the ability to stay with family friends. Loved playing corn hole in the back yard. Easy check in and out. Great experience.

We planned a trip to Laramie for a WY football game and got so lucky that this home was available. It is fantastic. It’s open, roomy, comfortable and we loved the backyard. Our sons college roommate had his mom and dad up for the weekend and we were able to invite them over for an impromptu BBQ in the beautiful backyard. Close to everything. Quiet neighborhood. Had everything we could need and more. We will look to book for this home every time We come to Laramie now!

Beautiful Modern Classic

This property is amazing. The property had all the expected modern amenities with large fridge/freezer space, spacious bedrooms, comfortable furniture, smart tvs, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy company. The secret is it incorporates the classic charms of a 1960s home which has been so well preserved it is actually beautiful. The yard is spacious, parking was readily available, we had a large group that traveled from across the U.S. and this place was voted the best find by the entire group. To top it all off, the hosts were courteous, available when needed (I texted a question and got immediate response), but otherwise invisible. They were staying in the basement while we were there but were very respectful of our privacy. If we return to Laramie this will definitely be our choice to stay.
