Hotel was clean, but definitely no frills. We stayed here to look for rocks, and they had a nice lighted path out to the beach at night. That was our main reason for picking this location. We did find some very pretty rocks at the beach at night. We would stay here again!

Location wasn’t nearly as remote as we thought it would be, but the access to the beach was great. Beautiful area. Room was dated but clean. Check in and out was a weird process but fine.

We chose this property to look for yooperlites, we found a dozen! The hotel is right on the beach and I felt safe in the area. I liked that they had a hang out area and campfire spot although we didn't have time to use these. The rooms were outdated though and felt a bit damp but they were fine overall. I was disappointed that they still had single use plastic bottles for the shampoo and conditioner. The star of the stay was the cinnamon rolls in their BBQ restaurant. OMG they were absolutely delicious!

Never saw a staff member, left the key on the table and door unlocked for us, we arrived around 8:00 p.m. When we arrived we walked into a room with a box fan, no air-conditioning. It is advertised as a place with a beach view, only way to see the beach is to walk over a hill. For $330 a night you should at least have air-conditioning and a continental breakfast would be nice. During our trip that is the most we spent on a room. The places we spent half of that to stay at were beautiful with air-conditioning, pools , hottub, breakfast, one was right on the beach.

Fantastic hotel. The rooms were spotless and surprisingly spacious. The staff was friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. It’s just a quick 5-minute walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach. We’ll 100% be staying here again next time we’re in town.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I booked a 'beach view' room, I'm sure there was a beach out there but unable to see anything other than trees and shrubbery. Staff rude at check in, no actual front desk, have to check in with restaurant staff

Great location, ok place, but not much of a "resort." Few amenities, simple room, no ice machine or AC but usually don't need it up there. No pool, hot tub or much else on property, except restaurant and gift shop I didn't try. Rather overpriced for the area, stay somewhere else in town.

Run! Big hot rip off!

Check in was strange and over an hour later than listed. Was told door was open and key on the tv stand. No AC in the rooms and very hot and uncomfortable. Box fan in the window. For almost $200 a night. It’s a big rip off! We will definitely not be returning next year.

No sign of where to check in, so finally went to the restaurant. One girl got up and motioned to a table in the restaurant where to check in. She told me my room number and nothing else!! No “welcome to xxxx”, no “your room is in xxx building”, no “here are the amenities (ice, walking areas, parking, etc). The WORST welcoming check-in ever!!

It was interesting that we were not greeted, At All, during our whole stay, by any hotel staff. Our room was unlocked, our room key was in the room , and check out was just leave the key in the room. A very odd and interesting approach. Also,our second floor room did not have any air conditioning. For the price we paid, we expected a bit more than what we got.
