Juniper Glamping Tent

Welcome to Highland Grand Canyon, the closest glamping to the national park! Just a 15-minute drive from the South Rim, but it feels a world away from the crowds. Stay in a private safari tent with a plush Nectar memory foam king bed, cozy linens, and access to shared amenities.

A trip to the Grand Canyon deserves a stay as unforgettable as the views—with comfort, style, and the stillness of nature all around you.

The space

Wake up to fresh air and breathtaking scenery!

The Juniper tent brings boho soul and western charm to the Grand Canyon, with layered textures, vintage touches, and a 16" disco ball for just the right amount of sparkle. Designed for a relaxing glamping experience, it features a private covered porch and a prime location just a short walk from parking and communal amenities for the perfect mix of accessibility and tranquility.

Perched on a hilltop and facing southwest, Juniper delivers stunning bird’s-eye views, glowing sunsets, and spectacular stargazing from your porch.

Every Safari Tent at Highland Features:

210 square feet of living space with an impressive 9-foot peaked ceiling.

Raised platform deck to keep you off the ground.

Spacious 7-foot covered patio with chairs for relaxing.

King-sized bed with a comfy Nectar memory foam mattress, cozy linens and a down duvet.

Lanterns for warm lighting and a power bank to keep your essentials charged.

Heated mattress pad for cooler nights and a portable fan for warmer evenings.

Thoughtfully spaced at least 50 feet from other tents for privacy and tranquility.

Towels and Public Goods biodegradable shampoo, conditioner and body was provided.

Guest access

While your tent is private, Highland Glamping features several shared spaces designed to enhance your stay:

Fire Pit & Outdoor Dining: Gather around the communal fire pit and enjoy meals at the picnic area with BBQ grills, a sink for easy cleanup and picnic tables for dining.

Communal Bathrooms: Clean and modern shared bathhouse with two units, each featuring flushing toilets, sinks and hot showers

WiFi Access: Starlink internet provided, but weather may impact performance.

Parking & Access: Guests park in our designated parking lot near the entrance.

Tents are accessed via walking paths, creating a peaceful, vehicle-free environment. Wagons are provided to help transport your belongings to your tent. RV parking is available upon request (please confirm before arrival).

You'll have your own private glamping tent and shared access to all amenities on the property.

Other things to note

Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure a relaxing stay for all guests.

Bathrooms, fire pit, and outdoor amenities are shared with other guests.

Bring your own food and cooking essentials for the BBQ area.

Road Conditions: The dirt and gravel roads leading to the site are well maintained but can be bumpy. While AWD is recommended, sedans have successfully made the trip. RVs must inquire before booking.

Wildlife Encounters: You may see and hear elk, deer, and coyotes—if nature sounds make you uneasy, this may not be the best fit.

Eco-Friendly & Off-Grid: Fully solar-powered retreat with dark sky compliance for incredible stargazing. Portable batteries available for charging small devices, but high-power appliances (hairdryers, etc.) cannot be used.

Pet Policy:

Only dogs are allowed, as our tents have openings that make them unsuitable for cats or birds.

Dogs must always be on a leash while on the property, and each tent can accommodate up to two dogs weighing 75 pounds or less.

Dogs cannot be left unattended in tents, and if a dog is left alone, Highland reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Clean up after your dog.
