About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

A Little Piece Of Paradise-Waterfront Cabin

The Sunshine Coast is a 40 minute ferry ride from Vancouver. Experience coastal living in this tastefully renovated 1000 sq. ft., beach chic waterfront cabin just steps from your own private south facing cobble beach. The cabin itself is only a five minute drive from the ferry, but its seclusion will surprise you.

With the 100+ year old Arbutus tree, almost daily wildlife visits, and no shortage of amenities, you will be immersed in the Pacific Temperate Rainforest without compromising comfort. Breathtaking views of the Popham Islands in the foreground and Vancouver in the background. Feel at home with complete privacy and simple comfort in this historic living space.

A convenient vacation destination, discover your Sunshine Coast personality with magnificent access to year round activities, nearby restaurants, the public market and local shops.

The natural surroundings are home to our resident deer and other wildlife who frequently visit the property on their way to the beach. Whales and Orcas make guest appearances, depending on the time of year. Storm watching right from the warmth of the living room will literally blow you away.

For the comfort of our guests, each room has its own baseboard heater with thermostat control, a ceiling fan in the bedroom, a portable fan, a dehumidifier to control humidity levels, and of course guests can open the windows for ocean and rain-forest-fresh air. The bedroom has a window A/C.

Relax with a book on the day bed and look at the amazing view, enjoy free Wi-Fi, watch movies on the flat-screen HDTV or walk 200 steps from the back yard, down the meandering forest trail and you will have the entire beach to yourselves for suntanning, swimming or beach combing. The sun room provides a restful dining space overlooking one of the oldest Arbutus trees on the coast. At the end of the day have a soak in the tub, unwind in front of the cosy fireplace and enjoy dinner overlooking the water where the afternoon sun filters through 150 year old Coniferous trees and mature gardens.

When you are ready to retreat to the bedroom you will be instantly relaxed by the calming sound of waves crashing on the beach.

Lovely location
AWESOME ocean view from several rooms; beautiful, lovely woods and flowers....Some renovations were going on in the bathroom, floor not very good and half a shower protector.....other floors could have been cleaner...It was a hot week for May, and there is no air conditioning, and no windows can be opened...It is very private, which we enjoyed. Loved the deer that came to visit....

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
We stayed in what I would call a little piece of hell!!!!!! Vanessa is also the host from hell. Her description is a lie. We were there during the second west coast heat wave, and there was not a ceiling fan, or air conditioning. She has a cheap 20 dollar small fan for the entire cabin. Few windows open in the cabin so it was sweltering hot. The cabin was dirty and smells like mold. Large stains on the carpet, and the couches were so dirty , we had to cover with sheet to sit on them. The kitchen was not usable. as the main drawer had a stench of fish when opened. I actually gagged. The outdoor area was no better. The chairs were appalling, full of holes and bird poo, they looked like chairs you could pick up for free from the dump. The only chairs usable were the filthy white wooden chairs. The fire pit was a complete mess, garbage, old grills and even a pair of old sunglasses. My son went to use the ax, which was dangerously rotted through and almost flew off. We were stunned and horrified. The trampoline was rotting and covered in bird poo, it was not safe to use. The meandering nature trail to the beach is treacherous. We are fit and young and had a very difficult time going up and down this trail, her description is a total lie. We only went down once, and going back up was just as difficult. We stayed 2 nights and could not wait to leave. Unfortunately , I forgot my laptop. We left at 9 in the morning. We were on the coast until 2:00, Vanessa could have called my cell to tell me, there was no phone call, I received an email hours later to tell me, and this was once we were home. She would not call me to arrange something to retrieve it. I left 3 messages asking her to call me. She told me she was away and could not help me and gave me the name of a courier. She indicated that my computer was left in an unlocked garage. wow! We spent the day going back by ferry. I told her to call me again and that we were coming to pick it up. She did not call. When we arrived at the property, the garage was locked. We knocked and rang the door bell to the house. No answer for 5 minutes. I had to yell through the open window, as I knew someone was home because their dog barked when we arrived. Suddenly she responded on her intercom. She was home! I recognized her voice from her voice messages. She was rude and unhelpful, all a sudden the door was open and it was there. She lied again. She yelled "Your welcome" as we were leaving! She is the host from hell!

Stay away
This property is on uneven ground My 75 year old husband tripped and fell and I broke a toe. We couldn't stay the nights because there was no A/C not even a fan to be found as we went through a heat dome. Very poor planning on the part of management. Never again
