"Great central Hotel, near everything and a great coffee shop type area. Room was really spacious and clean. Beds comfortable and plenty towels. I would say not great for a disabled person. Lots of stairs but the Hotel has a night life too in the lounge bar area, had a DJ. I would come back as it was handy for the shops and restaurant's. Reception staff were very helpful, after reading reviews I was worried as a few people were very negative online but we didn't see anything to deserve those comments."

"The room was tiny. The bathroom was so tiny the door closed on the toilet as well as the shower room door. The beds were like water beds no support at all. I asked for a fan for the room and was no we don’t have any. When i asked for extra pillows i met with a sigh and told if i can find some i will get you some. The breakfast was all overcooked. I did ask if they had a room with different beds and was told all the beds are the same. On day 3 we had had no sleep and made the decision to go home. We had 2 more days on our stay but couldn’t take any more."

"I was really pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was tucked away in a quiet, very green area with a lovely view of the gardens and trees. We had our windows open to hear the birds all evening. I thought the style of the building was beautiful. Our room had lots of original features and the bathroom was really lovely. I have to say I was impressed with this stay. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it surpassed whatever that was. Easy to park, large comfortable and clean room and very pleasant staff. We didn’t get to use the facilities sadly as we had an appointment to attend but I went over to look around and they looked really inviting. I would definitely return if back up that way in future."

The Elbow Room

"Inn is clean, though windows are not well insulated for noise leading to hearing every car that passes the busy road. The beds are comfy though room 4 has what appears to be a king sized frame with a double mattress. The central support frame takes up a large bit of the mattress and would be really uncomfortable to share. As a solo traveler pulling the matter to ones side offset this but the correct sized frame would give more space to an already small room. Having a fridge in every room is a great touch and access to a toaster and microwave is helpful as restaurant times are limited if your an early riser or a like a later dinner"

"Very reasonable price, good amount of parking, easy and quick access to Dunfermline which was 5 mins down the road by car. The room and bathroom were a reasonable size as well as clean, comfy and well equipped although I did have a couple of minor maintenance issues such as a broken hair dryer which was replaced and the shower gel dispenser being virtually empty. Worth just double checking these things before you shower! The shower was at least nice and powerful. The pub/restaurant itself was decent with nice staff and food. Given there is not much around this place, check food times and book if food is needed. Breakfast in the morning is buffet style so recommend getting there earlier so that the food is fresher. I would stay here again."
