Lake cabin at B2 Ranch

B2 Ranch is a 1600 + acre working cattle ranch in Freestone County TX that consists of pastures, rangeland, woods and wetlands. It is located about 1.5 hours south of Dallas and 2 hours north of Houston. As a guest at B2 ranch you will have the opportunity to explore, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, fish, observe wildlife, or just relax. Also, the lake cabin is the only guest accommodation on the ranch, making it a true get away.

B2 Ranch lake cabin is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin overlooking a 3 acre spring fed lake. The newly furnished cabin includes a king size bed, a pullout sofa, refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, tv with dvd player (no cable or satellite), and coffee maker with coffee. Linens, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are also included. A fire pit with cooking grill is located just outside the cabin as well as a charcoal grill. It does not include a stove or oven.

As part of your stay at B2 Ranch, you have access to 2 kayaks, a canoe and flat bottom boat along with paddles and life jackets. The lakes on the ranch are stocked with bass and open for fishing.

When staying at B2 Ranch you are free to explore and roam the ranch. There are miles of roads and trails where you can see an abundance of wildlife. Guests have access to the 1600+ acre ranch for most of the year. From October through January guests access may be limited to 200 acres that is immediately around the lake and cabin. The cabin is set perfectly on a hill overlooking a small lake. A fire pit right next to it. Plenty of fire wood. A covered cement patio in front. A comfortable king size bed and a beautiful leather couch.very nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Driving around the ranch seeing wildlife and trees. Definitely recommend a stay here!!

We had a great time staying at the lake cabin in the B2 ranch. Everything was perfect and Joe make the whole process very smooth. I will highly recommend this place. My main purpose was to take photos of the night sky. This was the perfect location! Iwill definitely comeback in the future!

Beautiful , peaceful place

We came here after our wedding for a little get away, it was perfect. We ate popcorn and watched the benchwarmers and woke up to the beautiful pond and wildlife. Paddled around in the boat in the spring fed pond. Bed was very comfy. The weather was perfect we didn’t even have to turn the ac on. We will be back (:

Every thing was perfect for getting away from the city. Fishing from the dock and sitting around the fire pit was just what was needed for relaxing. Thank you Joe for the hospitality and recommendations on fishing bait.

Nice place, great view.

Quiet, relaxing stay. Loved the view of the lake. Cabin was a nice 68 degrees so we stayed inside during the Texas heat of the day. Highly recommend and hope to go back during a cooler season. 🙂

This place is a hidden gem for couples who want a country feel. Great for fishing and relaxing in the country! We will be back! My only recommendation would be to have a bigger outside trash can and to have a shovel on the property. Everyone else was perfect!

Place of total peace.

I will be returning to this cabin asap. I only stayed here one night but that night was full of peace, bliss and tranquility. Next time I plan to stay longer. If you are trying to escape the hustle, grit and grime of the big city this is your escape.

Nice views

This was a working holiday cleaning out my mom's estate. It was nice to have a peaceful place to relax in the evenings just a few miles away. When I return I am definitely bringing my fishing poles. Thanks again for sharing your cabin in the woods!
