I really can't praise Fafa Island enough. The unit felt large and private with good air movement (although we were a bit hot some nights). But it was very, very, special. Relaxing, with amazing views and great swimming.
What really makes the place wonderful is the staff - friendly in an honest and genuine way. Well, what makes the places wonderful is the staff and the food. It was _outstanding_. Day after day, night after night. One Sunday breakfast was just "good", ever other meal was excellent.
While Fafa offers a half board and full board option, we found it was cheaper to just order off the menu - we just didn't need to eat 3 courses every dinner and 2 courses every lunch.
The one negative, which is small, are the transfers. The boat trip is fine (although it takes ~45min rather than ~30min as often stated), but the company running the vans from the airport and away from the harbour after you leave Fafa are not very organised. They will get you there, but it may take a while, surprise about how many people are present (or not), and problems with luggage.
