We stayed here for a girls' weekend and loved it- beautiful, clean, and so comfortable—everything felt easy. The location was great, only about 15 minutes to downtown Annapolis and Great Frogs Winery, so it was very convenient for all of our plans. Our favorite part was definitely the large, super cozy sofa — it fit all of us and made our morning coffee and late-night chats perfect. The view was gorgeous too and made the whole stay feel relaxing and peaceful. One of my friends accidentally left some jewelry behind, and the owner was incredibly kind and accommodating in helping us get it back. Truly above and beyond. We would absolutely stay here again!
We loved absolutely everything about our experience here. The property was stunning and cozy. The beds and couch were some of the comfiest places you have ever been, the hosts were so accommodating, the neighborhood is so cute. It was so relaxing to take the kayaks out and we even found a small beach to hang at. We would definitely come back here again!
Our family of four (and dog) thoroughly enjoyed this scenic and homey property. Everything we needed was at our fingertips with a grocery store just five minutes away.
This was a great property!! Gary and his family were very helpful and kind! The guest house area was gorgeous and very well kept. The dock and river was beautiful and peaceful.
Our stay was above expectations in many ways. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful when needed. Our breakfast on the patio overlooking the water was stunning and so relaxing. Watching the birds feeding and the schools of fish added so much to our stay. This is by far one of my best stays and very convenient to get to Annapolis. No hesitation to return again!
We loved the property, but were only here for 2 nights and would have loved to spend more time here enjoying the great view and amenities. Beds were very comfy and the TV-Living room was nice, spacious and comfortable.
We had a great weekend staying at Waterside. The kitchen was well appointed, the views were great and big comfy couch is as big as it looks on the pictures. And despite the peaceful location, the property is minutes away from great dining and a very short drive to Annapolis. Owners couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Highly recommend!
Beautiful entire basement with separate entrance and beautiful views of water. Very comfortable spot for our one year old, the two of us, and our dog. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Excellent location near great food, outdoor and historical sights, Annapolis. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay and spread out while my mom was in hospice. My kids took advantage of kayaks and paddle boards. I’d highly recommend this rental. Unfortunately my mom passed last night.
We very much enjoyed our stay.
The property was gorgeous, with hardscaping, on the waterfront. Private entrance for renters. Instruction notebook with water/snacks at entrance.
The kitchen was clean and pretty with all that we needed. The bedrooms were so clean and cozy.
The neighborhood was very dog friendly.
We kayaked and paddle boarded, worked a puzzle and played Scrabble.

My kids and I fell in love with Riverview Retreat. I wanted a place to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter as she's in Baltimore for the next two years (we're in TX). I wanted something out of the city and Anapolis rentals were sold out. I expanded my search, found Riverview Retreat, and am so glad I did. RR is perhaps the most comfortable, beautiful rental on record for us (and we rent a lot). PLENTY of room for the four of us (and) our doodle. Large sectional we all piled on for movies, large kitchen and table for cooking and enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner. Beds were super-comfortable. And the view! Beautiful! Annapolis is just a quick, (maybe) ten-minute drive, and the little town of Edgewater was also quite nice. Being around the corner from Historic London Towne was a nice surprise, too. The home owners were also delightful; so kind and welcoming to us and our pup. Riverview Retreat will be my go-to for the next two years when visiting my girl.
The property was beautiful and conveniently located between Baltimore and DC, not far from Annapolis. The owners were VERY helpful. It was very easy to access the property. (Sometimes we've had trouble finding the entrance or getting locks to work - no problems here what so ever) We had use of kayaks and paddle boards for the river, which was great for my teenage son. The owners gave great recommendations for local restaurants. The property is in a walkout basement which you access via a path. If you have trouble carrying luggage, this may be an issue. Also, the property does not have a dishwasher, which I did not notice when I booked the property. Because I hate doing dishes I would probably pass on a property without a dishwasher in the future for a long stay. We were there for seven nights, so it was a lot of dishes. Another consideration for a long stay - there is only one bathroom. There were only three of us, but the property easily sleeps 6. Which may be a lot of people for one bathroom. Overall a really nice property and a great overall value.
Our family had a wonderful time staying at Gary and Michelle’s basement property. We ran into them a few times and they are wonderful, approachable, and generous hosts and we really enjoyed spending time using the SUPs and tubes on the water! The property was very clean and had everything advertised.
The only downside was communication with the property management group: it was one sided (them sending us messages and they never responded to our questions) which included alerting us, less than one week before our stay, that the property was without AC and having a toddler, we needed more information than what was provided to feel able to prepare properly. It ended up being fine given the solves Gary put in place but there was a learning curve with the one unit that was in the main bedroom and we unfortunately learned how to properly use it after a rough’s night of 3 hours of sleep for the rest of the trip. There were a few other question messages of ours that went unaddressed as well.
Overall, we highly recommend Gary and Michele as hosts but I’m not sure that I’d recommend the property management group again.
Very peaceful stay, beautiful location, and responsive hosts. Couldn’t have been better for our family. And access to the dock with paddle boards and kayaks made for a very enjoyable stay.
What a wonderful place to stay! Pet-friendly, super cute, easy to find everything we might need at the house and at nearby shops and restaurants, and what a great relaxing view with the porch swing and dock! Highly recommend.
5 stars – Perfect Stay!clean, cozy, and packed with thoughtful touches like snacks, water and local guides. Super responsive host with spot-on recs. Already planning our next. Thanks!
This is an amazing and peaceful little hideaway. Very well-appointed. Super clean and tastefully decorated. The grounds are simply stunning, right on Warehouse Creek. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.
